Bristol Rovers Supporters J.F.C U16's 2012/2013

RGSG U18 (Roman Glass) are looking for U18 players for the forth coming season. If you are interested please call Rob on 01179570575 for more details. They will be playing on Sunday aftenoon.

They also have a team that plays Saturday in Toolstation Div 1 and a reserve team that plays in the Bristol Combination Div 1

Its the Bristol Rovers Supporter JFC Tournament this weekend - even if you dont have a child playing why not pop down for a drink and some food..all welcome. Its a good club which has looked after both of my boys over the years..did I mentioned I will be on the BBQ with Mr Nick Brown tomorrow. No U16's football at this one :-(

Once again welldone today to all the players and supporters - we played some good football today but in the end did not have quite enough to make it to the semi final after the 1-0 reverse v Avonmouth in the Qtr Final....never mind ...be please with your efforts today. Welldone today to all players and supporters - Nigel had a few refreshements and the MMA contest with Kane was quite funny tbh. There were some good teams there - out play was a bit patchy but end we did not quite have enough - no problem - it was a good team outing......Billy even had a cameo appearance.

Todays final game: The newly shaped U16/15's team continued the good form from the City game on Wednesday. All the players put in yet another great effort and conceded the first goal late in the first half. The performance was improved from the last time we played Avonmouth and you all did the shirt proud. Kristian unfortunately had to leave the game early to go to the hospital but he has ligament damaged (Get well soon KF)..which meant we were to play the last 15-20 with 10 men. The final whistle went and marked the end of en era for the club. MOTM picked by KELLY went to 'JameSon' who had a good day between the sticks

Welldone tonight lads - the City management team were very complimentary to you and were surprised that we had 5 U15 players on the pitch. For the first 45 mins you were magificant and 2-1 at half time it was not obvious the were so many points between the teams. City arrived having already won the title but did us no favours. In the second half a couple of players fell away and Citys superiority started to come through. We did the right thing by giving them their deserved 'Guard of Honour' after the match. Our MOTM who was picked by the whole team went to KELLY who had a really good game and cause City a lot of problems. Welldone to CK

Next Wednesday we welcome City who are a really good footballing side and may well be playing for the title when they play us. We will do our best to win - yes win the game. At times this season we have played really well but without reward. Lets keep going and see what happens.

This page has only ever been used to talk about the football and nothing has change. Welldone to all our players - you were magnificant tonight and gave it everything - total commitment and teamwork, Played some good football on a dust bowl rock hard pitch. A good effort in the first half but too many fell away in the second. When we had the ball we tried to play - when out of possession some did not work hard enough to regain the ball. Defending is the responsible of the whole team not just the back 4 and goalie. Please bring more next Sunday.
