The women’s club and masters squads traded the bank holiday long weekend for some fierce racing on the River Wye at Monmouth Regatta. With strong performances across both squads, it was a fantastic weekend of racing.

🏁 Results

🟒 W4+
A stellar run for the 4+! They laid down the marker with a dominant Round 1 win over local rivals Bristol Ariel, backed it up by defeating Evesham RC in Round 2, and fought hard all the way to the line in the Final, just missing out to a tough Cardiff Uni crew.

πŸ† W MasB/D 4x- WINNERS!
Great performance from the Masters Quad. They executed a clinical race in the Final to take a brilliant win over Evesham RC and bring home the Monmouth pots!

πŸ†Mx MasD/F 4x- WINNERS
Another brilliant win! The mixed quad put together a superb race in the Final, taking the victory over Gloucester RC to add another set of pots to the collection.

The eight drew a tough Round 1 matchup against a fast Warwick Uni crew. The women gave it everything against a crew that went all the way to the final.

A massive day of racing at Dorney Lake for Wallingford Regatta. Despite the heavy schedule, the squad delivered across the board.

Men’s Highlights: A gritty performance from the 4-, fighting through an incredibly deep field to progress to the repechage in the competitive Club category.

Women’s Highlights: Double final success for the 8+ and 4+. Special mention to the four athletes who showed serious engine, racing four times each throughout the day.

Coach’s Highlight: The support team on the bank put in the miles, with the coaches clocking 40km+ on the bikes following the crews.

Strong momentum built as we head further into the regatta season. Well done to all.
