Fun, friendly, hassle free cricket in South Bristol 🏏

I'd like to introduce the Friendly Cricket Collective. We bring people together through casual cricket and offer flexible alternatives to traditional club cricket.

We started off with one game that brought the Victoria Park parent community together (in 2023) and we've enjoyed getting hundreds of busy Bristolians back into cricket since then.

During the winter we're running indoor nets, casual indoor games and tape ball cricket. All with an open invite.

It's great to be working with Somerset Cricket Foundation & Bristol jamia Mosque to pilot the tape ball games this winter. These games are designed to be fun, friendly and nostalgic for South Asian communities.

The South Bristol Friendly Cricket Group is like a Battersea Dogs & Cats home for adults who like cricket but drifted away.

We're figuring out how to fit fun, friendly meaningful cricket into busy schedules.

Tapeball / Indoor Friendlies 🏏

We're running some indoor tape ball friendlies between now and April. Some are for friendly side v friendly side. Others are run with an open invite and then we mix and match teams from available players on the day

If you're interested in either option, please reply here and we can discuss from there.

For context: the standard is pretty village. Most of us have only just got back playing again after years away from cricket.

So these games suit relaxed cricketers / teams who can buy into collective enjoyment and leave egos at the door.

Friendly Nets

We also run friendly nets sessions with an open invite for any casual cricketers to join in. Especially busy adults who've drifted away from the game but like the idea of some occasional, low commitment cricket and might be daunted by traditional club nets.
