We had an amazing time performing last weekend at St George's as part of International Make Music Day 🎶

Here we were singing traditional Gaelic Puirt a beul (mouth music) song 'S'ann An Ile', arranged by Sheena Phillips of Canasg Music. Puirt a beul would traditionally be used to accompany dance in the absence of instruments.

This one is singing the praises of Inner Hebridean island Islay, which I am luck enough to have visited several times.

We can't wait to return to St George's this Saturday 21st, at 11am, to perform a full set. Entry is free. This is as part of International Make Music Day, and there are free performances at St George's and across Bristol on the day, including at St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol Museum, the RWA and more. This time next week, Saturday 21st June at 11am, my two choirs - @peopleofnotechoir and @folksandbairns parent and baby choir - will be doing a FREE performance at @stgeorgesbris as part of International Make Music Day @makemusicdaybristol We love singing at St George's, and here we were last year singing Tourdion, a 1530s dance tune written by Pierre Attaignant, with lyrics added in 1949 by Cesar Geoffray to make it into a lively drinking song 🎶 We're looking forward to returning to St George's to do a full set of songs from all over the world. We'd love you see you there! There will be lots of choirs and music acts performing for free throughout Bristol on Make Music Day.
