Our 2nd XI are on the road (but not really) this Saturday as they face Taveners CC (Glos) 1st XI.

The lads will be looking to put in a strong performance and bring the energy from the first ball. Let’s get behind the boys and wish them all the best for the weekend.

Our 1st XI are back at home this Saturday as they host Frampton Cotterell CC 1st XI.

After a strong performance last week, the lads will be looking to carry that momentum into another important home fixture. Come down, show your support, and back the boys.

A spirited effort from our 2nd XI this weekend, but the lads fell short against Bristol Mavericks CC 1st XI, who secured a 70-run victory.

After Bristol Mavericks won the toss and elected to bat first, they posted a strong 285/5 from their 40 overs. Roshan led the way with the ball for BSLCC, picking up 3 wickets, while Inoshan also claimed a wicket as the team worked hard to keep the pressure on.

In reply, BSLCC battled their way to 215 all out in 32.2 overs. Shehan produced a brilliant innings at the top of the order, scoring an excellent 104 from 75 balls, including 10 fours and 7 sixes. Jeevan added a valuable 37, while Inoshan chipped in with a quick 17 late on.

A special mention to Shehan for a superb century and a standout performance with the bat.

Not the result the boys wanted, but plenty of fight shown and positives to take into the next one. Well played, lads.

A dominant performance from our 1st XI this weekend, as the lads secured a convincing 74-run victory over Winterbourne CC (Glos) 2nd XI.

After being asked to bat first, BSLCC posted an impressive 263/8 from their 40 overs. The innings was built around a superb knock from Onila, who fell just short of a century with an excellent 95 from 83 balls, including 13 fours and a six. Lahiru provided great support with 53, while Benura's quick-fire 42 helped push the total beyond 260.

The bowlers then completed the job in style, restricting Winterbourne to 189 all out in 38.4 overs. Thisun and Benura claimed three wickets apiece, while Chinthaka picked up two as the pressure was maintained throughout the innings.

A special mention to Onila, who was deservedly named BSLCC Man of the Match for his outstanding 95 at the top of the order, setting the platform for another excellent team victory.

A fantastic all-round performance and another important win for the boys. Well played, lads.

Our 1st XI return to home action this week as they host Winterbourne CC (Glos) 2nd XI.

A huge result for our 2nd XI this week, who held their nerve to secure a thrilling 4-run win over Midsomer Norton Methodist CC 1st XI.

Asked to bat first, the lads put together an excellent 207/7 from their 40 overs. Weshan laid a strong platform with 49, Dhaham added a valuable 34, and Sanjaya finished the innings in style with a superb unbeaten 53 from just 29 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes.

With the ball, the team showed real character to defend the total and restrict Midsomer Norton to 203/9. Naufel produced a brilliant spell of 3 wickets for 25 runs, while Deshika also claimed 3 wickets as the lads kept fighting right to the final overs to get over the line.

A special mention to Sanjaya, who was named BSLCC Man of the Match for his match-changing knock.

A strong team effort, plenty of composure under pressure, and a hard-earned home win for the boys. Well played, lads.

A brilliant away performance from our 1st XI, who claimed a 57-run win over Long Ashton CC 1st XI this weekend.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, the lads posted 199/9 from their 40 overs. Hansika led the way with a superb 46 from 32 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six, while Lahiru added 27 and Benura chipped in with 28 to help keep the scoreboard moving.

The bowlers then backed it up with a disciplined effort in the field, restricting Long Ashton to 142/8. Hansika capped a fine all-round day with 2 wickets for 15 runs, while Chinthaka and Benura also picked up 2 wickets each as the pressure stayed on throughout the innings.

A special mention to Hansika, who was deservedly named BSLCC Man of the Match for an outstanding all-round display.
