Alison Brooks has been a tremendous Women’s Captain this year and we are so pleased with the level of commitment and passion that she has shown to the role.

We spent some time with Alison who explained her approach for the role and the type of legacy she hopes to leave behind.

At Bristol & Clifton, we’re exceptionally proud of the golf course that we offer but we also believe the community aspect of the club plays a very important role for member satisfaction.

We spoke to several members asking them why important social days like Charity Captain’s Day matter so much to those who call Bristol & Clifton home.

We’re so proud of the standard of our golf course and, as always, we would like to extend our gratitude to our amazing greenkeeping staff that work tirelessly around the clock to ensure Bristol & Clifton’s reputation remains intact.

Considering the standard of our course, we believe that we have a responsibility for hosting elite amateur events and offering a place for these meets to take place. This one was particularly special as we had the opportunity to host the 2026 South West Girls Inter-County Championships!

South West Girls Inter-County Championships was a huge success and we’d like to thank everyone who played a part in making the week as special as possible.

Our very own Poppy Rowe featured for Gloucestershire during the competition and we asked her what it feels like to represent your county at the highest level.

The 2026 South West Girls Inter-County Championships were a huge success and we trust that all six partaking counties enjoyed their time at Bristol & Clifton Golf Club.

To host an event of this magnitude was truly special for the golf club and it meant even more for Alex Saunders (Golf Ops Manager) as her involvement extended across both the club and the county.

From the stunning clubhouse to the pristine golf course (thanks greenkeeping team!), we're so proud to be ranked as one of the best golf facilities within the local region.

Don’t just take our word for it though… We asked a group of members how long they’ve been a member at Bristol & Clifton Golf Club - and the reasons as to why they’ve stayed part of our family for so long!

Bristol & Clifton Golf Club is proud of its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. We believe golf should be accessible to everyone, and we warmly welcome new members who share our respect for the course, the club and fellow golfers.

One element we’re exceptionally proud of is our female membership figures. We set a goal for our membership base to be at 20% female participation, and we’ve almost hit that - with 25% being our next target!

Captain’s Day is always a remarkable time for the club and we are so grateful for the continuous support we get from our members each and every year.

Were you aware of how much planning goes into each event? Our Golf Operations Manager, Alex Saunders, explains how she spearheads a collective effort to help the day run smoothly.

Captain’s Day was a huge success and we’d like to thank everyone who featured in the day, whether that be playing or volunteering your time!

Captain’s Day is always a special time for the club and this year was no different. Despite being frantically busy throughout the day, we managed to squeeze some time in with Ian Foster, who provided insight into the responsibilities of the Club Captain.
