The Gabon marine plywood is proving not as robust as the Birch ply. The one positive is the canoe is very light. Repairable is yet to be seen.

Its that time of year to start another canoe build. A
FLO MO 14 ft canoe. The last canoe I used Birch ply which was very robust and took the curves from bending with out a problem.. This canoe I am trying marine ply wood for its lightness and durability..

Latest canoe from my workshop. A canoe based on the native American Indians idea of using Birch bark to form into a canoe. The design has been developed and refined recently by Flo-mo. Using 3 D modelling software to use thin plywood.
