Free Wormery 🪱🐛
This wormery is looking for a new home! 🌱
It’s free to collect and currently has no worms inside, so it’s ready for someone to start their own little worm composting project.

🌱✨ A lovely Monday in the garden! ✨🌱
What a productive and joyful gardening session we had today! There was plenty of cutting and chopping, turning all those branches into wonderful natural mulch for the garden. 🌿♻️
We planted a lovely lovage plant, gave everything a good watering and started cutting back our wildflower area — helping the seeds spread naturally so we can look forward to even more beautiful flowers next year. 🌼🐝
And, as always, gardening is about so much more than gardening… there was lots of chatting, catching up and sharing some wonderful news. ❤️
We were also joined by Anna for some filming, which made the afternoon extra special. 🎥😊
And of course, no gardening session would be complete without something delicious! We enjoyed homemade redcurrant cake and refreshing homemade elderflower drink. 🍰🌸
🌿 Join in Mondays at 5pm!
Everyone is welcome — whether you love gardening, fancy a chat, want to learn something new, or simply enjoy being outdoors with lovely people.
Come and grow with us! 💚🌱

🎨 FREE ART WORKSHOP – STILL GOING ON until 5pm 🎨
A great afternoon at Dame Emily Park as local residents, Garry and councillors have come together for a special free art workshop exploring Bristol’s mining history and remembering the Dean Lane Pit Disaster of 1886.
The workshop, hosted by Lamplighter Arts CIC and Garry is helping create artwork for a new permanent memorial, using drawing, collage and printmaking to reflect on the history of the area and the ten lives lost in the disaster.
There’s still time to come along and get involved — pop down, learn about Bristol’s mining heritage and create something for the memorial.

GoodGym ❤️
🌧️➡️☀️ I have to admit, I was a little worried about the heavy rain (waiting for it for so long) and was tempted to cancel today’s GoodGym session. But Mel persuaded me to go ahead — and yes, she was absolutely right! 😄
The sun came out, and the GoodGym “Angels” arrived and gave the big bush a proper haircut! ✂️🌿
Everything we cut was chopped up small and put to good use as mulch, so nothing went to waste. 🌱
There’s still plenty left to tackle, though, if anyone is keen to come along and do a bit more bush-bashing! 💪🌿
A huge thank you to the GoodGym Angels for another brilliant session — what a difference a few willing hands can make! ❤️

🌱☀️ What a warm and wonderfully busy gardening session! 🌿
The sun was out - the watering cans were working overtime and we certainly packed a lot into our session!
🥬 We planted salad crops for the winter months — future us will be very grateful!
🌱 Our beloved Taunton Deane kale has found a new safe place to thrive 😉
💧 There was A LOT of watering, because this garden is thirsty! We may need to start a serious prayer for rain… 🙏🌧️
🧹 We tackled some vandalism and litter picking, giving the garden a good tidy and showing our space some much-needed love.
🍑 We harvested a delicious plums, figs and raspberries — definitely one of the best perks of gardening!
🍰 And after all that hard work, we enjoyed rhubarb cake and fig leaf cordial.
Because gardening calories don't count, obviously! 😋
A productive, tasty, sunny and slightly sweaty session all round. 🌞🌿
Now all together… Dear Rain, please come and visit soon. 🌧️🙏😂
Good gardens don’t grow themselves — but they do grow community! 💚

Our free Herbal Workshop was full of positivity, curiosity, laughter and the wonderful smell of herbs.
With the sun shining and so many lovely people joining us, the garden was buzzing with a really happy, welcoming atmosphere. 💚
A huge thank you to the wonderfully enthusiastic Bernie Munoz Chereau, who shared her knowledge, experience and genuine love of herbs with us.
🌱 We explored the garden together, searching for herbs, learning how to identify them, discovering their different uses and of course, tasting some of them as herbal teas.
And there were some lovely surprises along the way — including a delicious rosemary cake 🍰🌿and hawthorn lemonade.
Participants were able to take some herbs home, browse a wonderful selection of herbal and medicinal books and purchase Bernie’s book “Herbs Yourself” to continue exploring the world of herbs at home. 📚🌿
It was so lovely to see people sharing stories, asking questions, discovering something new and simply enjoying being together in the garden. There was such a positive energy throughout the workshop — a real reminder of how much joy, knowledge and connection a community garden can bring.
Thank you to everyone who came along and made the workshop so special 💚
Here’s to more herbs, more learning, more sunshine and many more happy gatherings in our garden! 🌱☀️🌿
This was made possible thanks to funding from the Community Fund.
