Here's our latest Gloucestershire Seniors Cricket review ...

ROB Austen led the way with an unbeaten 108 as Gloucestershire eased into the last eight of the Over 60s Cup with a 27-run defeat of Bedfordshire at Corse & Staunton Cricket Club.
The opener faced 113 balls, striking ten boundaries, as skipper Ian Robson (44) and James Cotterill (34) lent important support in a total of 241-3 after winning the toss.
The visitors, in reply, lost two early wickets and were always on the back foot as Nic Hayward (3-42), Phil Edge (2-35) and Nick Marment (2-46) kept things tight with Razi Ahmed and Dennis Mullings also capturing wickets.
The 60s 2nds went out of their cup following an eight wicket reverse away to Lancashire despite opener Richard Grahamโ€™s 101 off 112 (13 fours).
Gloucestershire piled up 273-6 from their 45 after losing the toss, but the home side also found batting conditions to their liking as victory was clinched in the 43rd over.
The 60ths 5ths, meanwhile, succumbed by five wickets away to Buckinghamshire, Alec Robinson hitting 76 and Tom Parsons 54.
But the 50s 3rds completed two T20 friendly wins over Warwickshire and Worcestershire at Himbleton.
The hot weather forced the cancellation of Gloucestershire O70sโ€™ scheduled friendly away to Warwickshire at Moseley.
CAPTAIN Ed Gordon Lennox hit the winning boundary, finishing unbeaten on 30, as England O60s opened their World Cup campaign in Canada with a nine wicket defeat of Scotland.
Ed followed up with 54 in a 25-run defeat of West Indies before England made it three from three with a hard-earned three wicket triumph in a rain-delayed clash against Zimbabwe.
JOHN Evans top scored on 79 as he captained England Over 70s to an 84 run win over New Zealand at his home club of Frocester Cricket Club.

Over the last few days, we have held our annual CricFest event ๐Ÿ It brings together young people from our community programmes for matches & workshops across two days of action at the home of Gloucestershire Cricket

This year featured matches on the outfield, a tour of the new professional facilities, a quiz, an autograph session with Glos players David Payne & Matt Taylor, and food provided by Marshfield Farm Ice Cream and Nando's

It's a celebration of the dedication shown throughout the year so far during their Chance to Shine Lord's Taverners and The ACE Programme Charity sessions

Look out for more soon, but here are some ๐Ÿ“ธ

Here's our latest round-up of all things Gloucestershire Seniors Cricket ...

AUGUST is a hectic month for two Gloucestershire Seniors players who are set to captain their country on the international stage.
First up, John Evans (pictured right) will lead England Over 70s in a three-match series against New Zealand which gets underway at his home club of Frocester Cricket Club on Sunday (12.30pm).
And Ed Gordon Lennox (pictured left) is preparing to skipper England in the Over 60 World Cup taking place in Mississauga, Canada, from next week.
Ed will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of โ€˜Evoโ€™ who has skippered England to back-to-back Over 70s World Cup titles as well as piloting the side to a 3-0 Silver Ashes whitewash over the Australians.
This will be Evoโ€™s final fling as captain, and itโ€™s fitting beyond words that he will lead out England at Pounds Close on Sunday before further internationals follow on August 16 at Farnham Royal and August 18 at High Wycombe.
Ed, meanwhile, will be at the helm for England O60s who face a packed schedule if they are to triumph in Canada.
After a practice match today against the hosts, his side face Scotland on Monday before meeting West Indies, Zimbabwe, United States, India and New Zealand over the next eight days.
The top two teams from two groups progress to semi-finals on August 21 with the final scheduled for August 23.
Gloucestershire Over 50s, meanwhile, are through to the quarter-finals of the Plate knock out following a terrific three wicket home win over Cheshire at Bristol.
The visitors reached 236-9 after winning the toss, captain Richard Trotman finishing with fine figures of 4-33 from seven.
And Gloucestershire then showed plenty of character to book their passage, rallying from a shaky 196-7 in the 39th over thanks to a superb unbroken partnership between Simon Hygate (65) and Craig Whiting (20) after Trotman had earlier top scored on 69.
Gloucestershire O60s 4ths emerged seven wicket winners over Buckinghamshire in a rain-hit clash at Moreton-in-Marsh Cricket Club while the 5ths came off second best by 78 runs away to Worcestershire.
Gloucestershire Senior Women trumped Somerset by six wickets, openers Maria Fowler and Mel Romanek both completing half centuries.
But Gloucestershire O70s suffered a six wicket reverse against their neighbours, at Stroud Cricket Club, despite Peter Adamsโ€™ unbeaten 57 and 57 from John Evans.
Gloucestershire O50s 3rd came up 51 runs short away to Wales in a cup quarter-final, skipper Andy Burrows and Stephen Williams both hitting 43.
And there was also defeat for the 50s 4ths in their plate quarter-final against Hertfordshire at Lechlade Cricket Club, opener Stephen Carter top scoring on 77.
RICHARD Trotman struck a run-a-ball 49 as England O50s completed a five wicket victory against New Zealand at Broxbourne.
