ATTENTION! We have a new Restorative class starting this Sunday, 14 January at 6 pm!
I am excited to invite you all to a 6-week of a candlelit restorative yoga course designed to promote relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being. The course is tailored to accommodate individuals of all fitness levels and experience with yoga, making it perfect for beginners and seasoned practitioners .
What is Restorative Yoga? Restorative yoga is a gentle form of yoga that focuses on relaxation and healing. It involves practicing various poses holds for extended periods, allowing the body to open up, release tension, and rejuvenate. By utilizing props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks, the poses are fully supported, ensuring a nurturing and non-strenuous practice.
A candlelit, gentle warm-up followed by delicious restorative yoga practice.
During this 6-week course, you will discover how to slow down and open your body through passive stretches. Perfect finisher of the weekend, preparing your body and mind for the upcoming week. Stillness is a powerful practice.
Cannot attend all 6 weeks? Don't worry, drop-in is available.

We have some slots at reduced rate (£12/h) available for creatives to train and use the studio for rehearsals and other creative work. Rates for commercial events (paid classes, workshops etc) are higher and vary, please email the studio for info. We have yoga mats/bolsters, sound system and sprung floor suitable for movers and dancers.
We are aware that it can be hard to find space in Bristol to make creative work, so just wanted to share that the studio doors are open. It also has a lovely cafe at the front.

This weekend workshop is designed for theatre makers, actors, and directors who want to expand their physical vocabulary and explore the connections between the body, movement, emotion, and voice when working with text. The training aims to provide practical tools that ignite creativity and can be used in personal artistic training and practice.
Based on the teachings of Jacques Lecoq and Rudolf Laban, the workshop introduces techniques for creating characters and scenes. Through a range of exercises, participants will move away from a purely psychological approach to character development, and reconnect with their bodies, breath, and voice in a physical and imaginative way. Participants will also analyse the movement and rhythms of emotions and will focus on the ways in which the actor’s body communicates emotional states in order to reach a heightened poetic dimension of movement, timing and space.

The art of clowning shares a strong connection to the archetype of the Fool which invites us to begin an adventure in innocence, playfulness and trust.
It is a rich tool for creators and performers of various disciplines. It stretches the creator’s imagination, teaching to embrace one’s truthful emotions, connecting with the silly side, celebrating mistakes and vulnerability.
This 3- day laboratory is a great opportunity to explore the art of clowning, going deeper into ourselves through the body, movement, imaginative play and improvisation.
