University of Bristol Sailing Club

University of Bristol Sailing invites you to save the date for the annual 𝒟𝒶𝓋𝒾𝒹 𝐻𝒶𝓌 𝑀𝑒𝓂𝑜𝓇𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝒯𝓇𝑜𝓅𝒽𝓎, taking place on the 22nd & 23rd August.

The weekend will consist of J70 racing hosted at the Royal Southern Yacht Club, bringing together friends, alumni, and sailors for a memorable weekend on and off the water.

We would love to see as many of you there as possible in support of a cause that remains deeply close to the heart of UBSC. Alongside fantastic racing, guests can expect a black-tie dinner and raffle, with a range of exciting prizes. All proceeds will go towards the six incredible charities involved in the search for our dear friend, David.

Entries for the trophy will be opening very soon, so keep an eye on our socials for further details, sign-up information, and weekend announcements. We’re looking forward to welcoming sailors from across the university sailing community for what promises to be a truly special weekend.

UBSC HAVE WON THE GREEN BLUE CHALLENGE🏆🌞💚🩵

We are VERY excited to announce that UBSC have won the RYA Green Blue University Sailing Sustainability Challenge this year! 🏅

We would like to say a massive thank you to all the committee members that took part, especially our Commodore, Emma 💚💙

For winning, the club will receive a Rooster voucher, and a training day with an Olympian! Very exciting things coming - watch this space!

BUCS YACHTING

Thank you to all of the sailors that got involved with BUCS Yachting Nationals and helped Bristol come 4th! And many thanks to Nick for running the Yachting section of the club so successfully for two years.🌞⛵️⚓️

UBSC WIN BRISTOL GROUP OF THE MONTH!

We are so pleased to announce that we have won Bristol SU Group of the Month for April.

This is in recognition of our ability to balance performance with purpose, leading our way in sustainability by winning the University Sustainability Challenge and earning investment that will enhance accessibility and development for future members.

We are so proud of our 25/6 Committee for working so hard over this past year to make the club the best it can be, and this award reflects just that! 🏆🏅

Here at UBSC we would like to say a massive thank you to for giving us a group grant of £500 which has bought us SIX new race watches for our DevSquad. We are so grateful and excited to use these watches! If you ever want to borrow one, make sure to use the sign in sheet at Chew.

In 5 days’ time, we’ll be taking on in our inaugural rugby match, proudly supporting

It promises to be a great afternoon, with slightly questionable rugby, beers on sale and a barbecue if you’d like to throw something on the grill!
