It's been just over a month since Beat It and we've got the blues...
To help you (and us!) fight them off, we've added some wonderful photos from the night, taken by Sam Gould Photography, so you can picture yourself back with us! 🤩
This year, we raised a whopping £2139 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Penny Brohn UK. Over the last four years, Beat It has managed to raise over £10000 for these charities, and we can't wait to raise even more next year!
We'd like to say a big thank you to the amazing artists (Ratbags, , Hush Mozey and Chrissie Huntley) who played, to all the wonderful O2 staff who helped to make the night possible, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, donated and came down to party with us. We had a great time, and we hope you did too!
See you next year ✨
Our evening is well under way with Ratbags kicking us off. Get down now before you miss it!
Tonight we’re also running a raffle! Tickets are £1.50, or £5 for a strip of 5, and you could be in with a chance of winning:
- A trip to the Clifton Zoo
- A family pass to the Clifton Observatory
- 2 Guest list tickets to an upcoming show at the O2
- A free meal at Nando’s!
Tickets are only £5 and are available on the door tonight, so come and join us for a great time for a great cause! ✨

Gigs of the Week // 17th - 23rd October - BRISTOL IN STEREO This Gigs of the Week is an absolute doozy. Anti-Boris chants, guitar music in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust, contemporary spoken word masterpieces, sexy jazz-via-electronica mixes, vocals as soothing as a hot cup of cocoa and slick saxophone solos looped to perfection. You're very welcome.

With only 3 more days to go until Friday, we'd like to introduce our headlining act for the night... none other than fabulous Bristol-based singer Chrissie Huntley!
Chrissie is described as ‘a glow of sunshine that transforms the rain into celebrated rainbows’. As an artist, Chrissie is particularly passionate about supporting the important work charities do for young people – her first single, ‘If Only I Could’, which took on the task of raising important awareness about mental health, raised nearly £500 for the mental health charity ‘Mind’. After performing at Glastonbury Festival over the summer, Chrissie is back in Bristol continuing her musical mission – to make people just a little bit happier.
Check out 'If Only I Could' below:

With just under a week to go, we are excited to introduce you to our third act of the evening, Hush Mozey!
Fighting against ‘modern musical mediocrity’, Hush Mozey are another Bristol-based band representing modern youth counter culture with their mix of ska, punk and grunge music, proclaimed as ‘drowzy rock and roll’. Their latest album, a spooky release titled 'Pretty Little Séance' (rather apt for this time of year) encourages you to 'relive your dreams through song'. Check out both 'Pretty Little Séance' and their debut album 'Tales of Bigotry' via Spotify below:

Are you Keen to know more about Beat It's first act, Ratbags?
Well, here you go!
Self-styled as ‘surf pop/surf rock’, Ratbags, consisting of band members Freddie Bamber, Zoe Dodge and Luke Mullins, are a Bristol-based band described as ‘exhilarating and energy-fuelled’ and ‘fab fuzz fun!’ by their rather Keen fans on Facebook. No strangers to the Bristol circuit having played a charity gig for The Crofters Rights and being a part of the Dot to Dot Festival in Bristol earlier this year, Ratbags are certainly one to watch on the Bristol scene and are a wonderful way to kick off Beat It 2019.
Check out their latest single, Keen, below! 💫
