Non-profit-making karate club based in Totterdown, Bristol. The club has a friendly atmosphere and beginners are always welcome.
We have been established in Bristol for over 50 years and we are proud to be founder members of the Western Karate Union. The style of karate we practice has its origins in the Wado Ryu system and has been developed and enhanced over the years. Our students come from all walks of life and range from complete novices up to International Level including a World Champion! The club was founded in 1968

On Saturday 5th July, Bristol Karate Club hosted the 2025 Bristol (WKU) Summer Course. Joining us were members from Clevedon Karate Kai , Yeovil Karate Club, Griffin Karate Club, Colchester Karate - Traditional, Brightlingsea Karate Club and Ryan Lambotte & Keri Murrell all the way from Jersey Wado Ryu.
