Tonights class was Legs, Bums and Tums and there was a great turn out.

I decided to try something a bit different and new tonight., calling it the "Build Your Own Mystery Class".

■ I had the participants choose an exercise at random tbat was written on a folded peice of paper that I had prepared earlier.

■ From here they gathered the necessary equipment needed to performe there exercises.

■ They then performed there exercises for 60s and then went straight into 4 other exercises that I had written on the board. They did each of these for 30s each. The exercises consisted of:
- Squat Jumps
- Squat Hold
- Plank Uos
- Plank Hold

■ They all then had 1-2 minutes of rest where they also picked another exercise from the Mystery Box. This new exercise was then added to there workout so they now had 2 exercises lasting 60s followed by the other 4 exercises At 30s each.

■ They all completed a total of 5 rounds, with each person building there own workout which was designed to be focused on conditioning the lower body and core.

Today is National Fitness Day! 22.09.21

Celebrate the day by getting out and doing some form of exercise. Whether that be walking, running, swimming, playing football or going to the gym etc. Get out and get moving and do something active!

First session trying my new pre-workout today. Trained shoulders and arms and I have to say, for only a half scoop serving, it was a solid workout and I am looking forward to using it again tomorrow! Great stuff would 100% recommend 👊🏻

For today's lunch I decided to make chicken fajitas (with cheese and sour cream.) So many fad diets and weight loss clubs such as Slimming World and Weight Watchers would have you beleive that a meal like this would ruin your week or be the reason that you gained weight that week. Where in fact it can be the complete opposite if you do it right.

For example: For both of these chicken fajita wraps the calories and macros were...
Calories 874
Protein 88g
Carbs 72g
Fat 23g

Now this works for me as my calories aren't set ridiculously low however, if you were consuming less calories per day then you could always half it all and just have the one wrap which woukd then look something like this...
Calories = 437
Protein = 44g
Car = 36g
Fat = 11.5g

A few things to bare in mind when cooking to keep calories down are:

- Reduce or remove cooking oils these are very high in calories for the amount you can use. Instead opt for a 1 calorie cooking spray

- Be sure to weigh all your prepped foods on a kitchen scale so you know exactly how much of what you are consuming

And

- Be aware of sauces, dips and dressings etc as some can be extremely high in calories. Keep an eye out for lower calorie alternatives or versions of your favourite choices.

At the end of the day as long as you are in a calorie deficit you will continue to loose weight, its up to you how you decide to fill those calories!

Pre workouts - Are mainly used to give you a bit more energy before your workout and to help you focus during your workouts aswell. Some also contain components to achieve a better pump. This just means more water and blood can get pumped Into your muscles.

Don't have to start work until later on today so decided to cook myself a nice big lunch. Small full English breakfast all on plan with no oil.

Carbohydrates = 76g

NEVER STOP EATING THE FOODS YOU LOVE!

So many people have this idea that healthy eating, dieting or loosing weight means that you have to restrict yourself from the "BAD" foods and concentrate on only eating the "GOOD" foods.

Well... this just isn't true. To loose weight you need to be in something called a calorie deficit. All that means in a nutshell is that you need to be consuming less calories than your body needs to maintain your current weight. With this in mind there is no such thing as "GOOD" and "BAD" foods just foods with fewer and foods with greater calories.

So... do "GOOD" foods such as fruit and veg help with this?

Of course. They are lower in calories which means it's easier for you to stick to your calorie goal whilst still keeping meals high in volume. However, this does not mean that you can't have the "BAD" foods aswell they just tend to be more calorie dense meaning you need to watch the serving size a bit closer.

For example yesterday I had eaten my breakfast, lunch and dinner and I still had a few calories left on the evening so I decided to have a little treat of a homemade cupcake and millionaire shortbread slice and nice cup of coffee.

FEELING DETERMINED!

After loosing 2lbs last week I'm doing my best to make sure that happens again this week by eating in a calorie deficit and training 3-4 days a week.

This is a photo after my push session today where I trained chest, shoulders and triceps. It was a solid session where I burned roughly just over 400 calories and the sweat was dripping off of my face. (Gotta love that!)

It's safe to say that determination is on a high right now and I am ready to fully make a difference in the way my body looks and I am loving every step of the journey and enjoying watching the scales go down.
