🎾 Big news at DFTC—and a huge thank you! 🎾
We’re thrilled to announce Dan Tonkin as our new Head Coach at Downend and Frenchay Tennis Club!
We want to send a massive thank you to THTennis and Almondsbury and Bradley Stoke Tennis Club for everything they’ve done to support Dan’s development over the years. Their backing has played a huge part in helping him grow into the outstanding LTA Level 3 Accredited+ Coach he is today.
We’re really looking forward to building on the strong relationship between our clubs and working together to benefit tennis players across both communities. 🤝
Please join us in wishing Dan the very best in his new role—see you on the court! 🏆

‼️We need your help!‼️Our Crowdfunder page is now live and we have 40 days to try and raise £25,000 to cover the cost of heightening the fence between our tennis courts and the cricket pitch. For the safety of anyone who uses our courts, it’s crucial we try and raise as much as possible so we can do this work. We’re working in partnership with Sport England and if we get a minimum of 25 supporters and raise at least £10,000 then Sport England will match with another £10,000. There are plenty of rewards for supporters generous enough to donate, including 2 & 4 year membership offers for ABSTC, Bristol Golf Club discount and vouchers for days out. Head to our website or follow the link in the email shared to members to donate before our rewards disappear! https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fundraiser-to-improve-our-tennis-club-safety-1?utm_campaign=thanksShare&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=shareto #

The tennis summer camps have been in full swing! 🎾☀️

It’s been brilliant seeing so many young players enjoying their tennis, building confidence, learning new skills and, most importantly, having lots of fun on court! 🙌

And if your children haven’t joined us yet, it’s not too late! We still have spaces available for the final two weeks of our summer camps.

Whether your children are looking to sharpen their skills, try something new or simply enjoy some tennis with friends, we’d love to see them there! 🎾

📅 Don’t miss out — book your place for the last two weeks! Booking links can be found on our website.
