We told you the best coaches are born in September 😎 Wishing a very happy birthday to our coach Sean! 👑 A man of many roles and a much loved coach, husband, father and friend 🫶🏼 As a gymnast, he represented England as a School Boy International and competed for the North East Region in numerous competitions including the prestigious Thames TV’s ‘Junior Gymnast of the Year’ at Wembley Arena in 1982 🤸🏻 His coaching career started at the club he trained at in Eston where he coached, amongst others, presenter Matt Baker and National team member Ged Swash 🤝🏼 In 1994, he moved to Bristol and became Head of Men’s Coaching at Bristol Hawks where he coached many of our former and current competitive boys to GB National Titles including 3X Elite NDP Tiltle winner & National World Class Start Squad Member Kelvin Williams 🇬🇧 Sean continues to play a significant role within the club, developing the careers of other coaches through mentoring, coaching our recreational and competitive classes, designing, making and fixing equipment for the gym and much more ✔️ In addition to his accolades, he is an amazing person who is kind, generous, humble and brings laughter to everyone especially his family ☺️ Here’s to Sean and many more years of making treasured memories 🥂

The best coaches are born in September 😉 *according to our biased sources* Wishing a very happy birthday to our coach Rory! 🎈 Since joining our team over 20 years ago, he has been invaluable working both with our competitive gymnasts and developing our young gymnasts through our range of classes as well as developing the careers of other coaches through mentoring, lecturing & practical workshops 🤸🏻‍♂️ His level of expertise is recognised internationally and he has been selected on multiple occasions to be part of the GB coaching team for World Championships and European Championships as well as Team England coach for the Commonwealth Games 🤝🏼 On top of his amazing achievements and most importantly, he is a wonderful person who brings compassion, kindness and fun to everyone who is fortunate enough to work with him ☺️ We look forward to making more memories and working together through the highs and lows of our sport 💙

Wishing a very happy birthday to our coaching team director Helen! 🎈 Her dedication and passion for gymnastics has spanned over 5 decades and we’re so thankful for her leadership, guidance and care 🙏🏼 From competing as a gymnast for both the GB senior and English schools junior teams, to studying Anatomical Sciences at Birmingham University and graduating with a first class honours degree, Helen followed her heart to pursue a career in coaching gymnastics 🤸🏻 An incredible journey for an incredible person and we can’t wait to continue sharing our love for the sport with others alongside her 💙
