📢Important announcement 📢
I have run RL Fitness for the last 8 years, setting up in 2015 after getting a self-employed role in a gym.
There have been many ups and downs, and I even survived a global pandemic.
However, I have made the tough decision to close RL Fitness.
I haven't been active with this business in a while, as I have been studying a Marketing apprenticeship. I have finished and decided it's time for me to move on.
I am extremely grateful to everyone who supported this venture over the years 🙏
This page will remain open along with all the content I have created over the years, and I may occasionally still post here.
If you'd like to keep up with my new venture and continue to support me follow Robert Leat Marketing
Thanks again for your support 😊 -Rob.

I’ve not been very active on this page or with RL Fitness In general.
It’s taken a bit of a back seat while I’ve been studying for my digital marketing apprenticeship and working full time.
However I’ve been working on putting together a new website and some programmes that I’ll be selling.
I’ll release more info soon 🙂

I recently switched from MyFitnessPal to Lose It! After MyFitnessPal hid most of the features I use behind a paywall.
And I have to say I’m really loving this feature when you log your weight it tells you an object equivalent to that weight.
This really helps you to visualise how much weight you have lost

Poor move by MyFitnessPal hiding the barcode scanner behind a paywall.
This is how you lose long term users of your app.

This is so true people think salads= healthy and pizza= bad
It’s always interesting how we look at food. Why do we view some foods as fattening versus others? It’s true that protein content can modify fat versus muscle gain slightly but our activity and genetics play more of a role there. So in the end it’s calorie intake.
Calorie intake can change based on the food type too. Would the salad leave someone fuller than the pizza which would cause fewer calories to be eaten later? Maybe.
But I also think stress and guilt from eating foods we deem as fattening isn’t great either. Or the restriction of such foods because we think they are bad.
Yes, focus on more fruits and veggies and lean protein sources, but don’t get caught in the dichotomous thinking (some foods are good and some foods are bad). ❤️
As someone on twitter pointed out, I’d like my salad and pizza. Lol!
