Easter's fine weather attracted the crowds today, and we had a great turn-out. It coincided with ladder-day on the hill, where we toe tapped and jumped up and down some chalk ladders. Sadly not enough time to do more, but the chalk will return !
Black shorts are definitely a favourite amongst our team, low-cut socks out for the summer. Doynton t-shirts also popular, and Mr Onion added some thermal protection too ๐Ÿฅต
Enjoy the fine weather and see you Friday ๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿซต๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ๐Ÿงค๐Ÿง…

The magic fingers of Birthday Booms were out in force last week. Slightly cooler than of late, we had a good turn out for what was a bit of an overcast morning. Plenty of variety in our bodyweight exercises, including lunging on a slope, lateral leg lifts, burpees circles and a fair few pressups. Many happy returns to James who we "powered-up" at the end of the session. Clocks have changed, so we are back to dawn starts for a few more weeks - come join us !

Fun Friday morning in St Andrews Park. A cool start after the nice weather earlier in the week. The hedges had taken a blitzing - all pruned and stripped back which meant that we were visible to all the park as we did our leg circles, hip circles and propeller arms - funny looks may have been given. Some core-heavy sets-of-3 followed by a hurricane, and a burpee filled Hello to wrap it all up!
Have a lovely weekend all, well done all cold water swimmers ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅถ and see you next week !

Spring has sprung ! Cool but clear, with a full moon on one side and sunrise on the other. A fine complement of folk came for some early morning activity and frivolity. Never boring, Beth, but sometimes the exercises are b-u-i-l-d-i-n-g in intensity. Especially deadbugs on the 4-3-2-1 set.
A repeat of Rescue Me as our final song, working well with peeps facing left/right in a circle. The phone didn't die, so we found out what the end of the song sounded like. Did some prefer the SPD-W cover the other week ? We certainly all enjoyed it !
Have a great week, be you in Finland, Sierra Leone, Syria(?) or on a lonely hillside in Portugal searching for a parachute. Catch you Friday!

It drizzled hard this morning. Extreme drizzle with an unrelenting breeze. However, we braved it out, and made it to the other side, after many a hurricane.
Congrats to all those Doynton runners and supporters. I hear the pub lunch made it all worthwhile !

Friday Fun. A break in the weather and a good crew. Still a little dark to start, but we warmed up with loops and the 80 item challenge, before a variety of tabatas and hurricanes. Press-ups with in-out planks, russian twists with heel taps - it was all mixed up. All wrapped up with some Flowers*, and a shot of coffee.
* we do an exercise with a song called Flowers. Or maybe Flours.

The weather gods were with us today as we didnโ€™t get as soaked as expected!! Just a little soggy & damp! The coffee van even turned up with bags of pastries!! What a brilliant start to Friday! Theme tune of the dayโ€ฆD.I.S.C.O.!!

What a wet, wild and windy welcome to Wednesday ! We will win our wet weather (a)ward as we were weaving our way (a)wound the (a)wea. ๐Ÿ˜
Everyone got their wet weather badges* today as it was one of those "bonding through adversity" mornings. Not too much floor work, and plenty of running to keep us warm. We were also joined by Tony and Toni, our two invisible members, who at times we barely noticed that they were there. Present in spirit perhaps๐Ÿ‘ป
There were times when it seemed like the sun was not going to rise at all, but we made it though, warmed up at Woodes (sorry - no more alliteration), and it was almost bright when we emerged.
Great to have Dorrie back, and nice to see Andy for coffee. Have a super Wednesday everyone - let's do it again on Friday ๐Ÿ˜…

Festive cheer has been in full swing this week with our now traditional โ€œnaughty or niceโ€ work out with the addition this year of a Rick Astley spinner (thanks Andy ๐Ÿ˜‚), festive dinners & incredible sunrises! Itโ€™s been an awesome year of awesome-ing! Time for a little breakโ€ฆ.see you all back on the hill on 7th January ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿป๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฆœ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿคถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช
