Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club - Bristol

CHAMPIONS! What a night for the Under 17s who produced another terrific team performance to beat a spirited Stapleton side by 27 runs to lift the Bristol & District Youth League title in front of a great band of travelling supporters at Bristol West Indian Phoenix!
Sodbury made the most of winning the toss to post an imposing total of 159-5, captain Henry Rendell top scoring on 62 from 51 with Gautham Manchikalapati (22) and Tobias Vamplew (15 not) also making vital contributions.
Sods then put the pressure on with the ball to close out the win, led by Henry who captured 3-15 from his four while there were also wickets for George Nethercote, Riley Wakefield, Tobias and Ewan Frost, backed up by some fantastic catching and ground fielding.
Well done to everyone involved, a fantastic result for a fantastic squad!
