A mixed set of Saturday results.
The 1st XI saw their winning run come to an end with a loss. The bowlers found wickets hard to come by and runs were also at a premium.
The 2nd XI keep marching on! They put a fantastic 307 on the board, with the pick of the batting a dominant performance by Cookie (96) and Alston (70). They continued their dominance with ball in hand with TP the standout with a 5’fer (5/8)

Great to get a win in the 2nd round of Bristol & District KO Cup 🏆 last night
Highlight of the game was a strong batting performance by the top order. JC (60) was supported by some rapid hitting by Lloyd (40 off 16) and Cal (40 of 22).
In the field SJ’s exceptional catch in the deep and JC’s quick hands ensured we took some big wickets and take the win.

During the May half term our Under 13s did a two day tour to Paignton. Superb weather conditions meant we crammed in a lot in the time we were there.
On Tuesday the team enjoyed a perfect afternoon at Splashdown Quaywest waterpark, followed by some time on the beach, before finishing the day off with a cracking curry!
Wednesday, the team started the day with a hearty spoons breakfast, before getting back to the beach for a quick swim before the game.
During the match Clav performed well against a very strong Paignton team, who batted first and put on a decent total. We then batted superbly with Perry Daniel securing his first 50 not out, ably supported by Lewis Cook with a fantastic knock of 39.
Unfortunately, we came up a few runs short, but the players were rejuvenated again after one final dip in the sea before heading home!
What a fantastic few days! Can't wait go do if all again next year! UTC!
