Yoga blocks are the best!! They have so many uses… these are just 5 of them:
Support (eg in a triangle pose)
Stretch (eg in a lizard lunge)
Activation (eg in a bridge)
Massage (eg in a fish pose)
Balance (eg in floating half moon)
Time to unleash the full potential of your yoga practice!
How do you use your yoga block?

Lucy’s Favourite Pose Series… 22 Camel pose
A biggy for working the back - take this one slowly, especially if you’ve had sore backs in the past!
Starting on your knees, bring your hands to your ribs and squeeze the elbows towards each other. Squeeze the bottom (keep squeezing throughout to protect the lower spine!) and curve your spine back looking towards the ceiling.
For full camel, lightly touch each hand to the tops of your heels. Don’t lean heavily back, use your back muscles to support you!
For an extra challenge, lift one arm up at a time and point it to the ceiling.
Do enjoy this pose?

MONDAY MOTIVATION! Hope you have a glorious day.
Before every class I teach I do a little run through of the lesson… just to make sure it all flows and I can remember all the moves! And yes; those aren’t full yoga poses, just shorthand versions to get through it all quicker!!
