Today we checked in on our growing plants, protected them with netting (sorry birds 🐦🚫), and got creative planning our scarecrows for next week 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾
Of course… we had to finish with a VERY competitive scavenger hunt 🔍🏃‍♂️ (things got serious 😅)

Day 1 of HAF looked something like this! We made Marry me Chicken with jacket potatoes and a gluten and sugar free apple and berry crumble 😋 A big thank you to for our creative STEM workshop!

🌱 Week 3 in our gardening journey!

Today we checked on our cress and were amazed at how much it’s grown already 🌿 We then created small grids in our planter and got planting a variety of vegetables alongside some beautiful sunflowers 🌻

We also potted up indoor plants and carefully moved them into the greenhouse to help them continue growing in the best conditions.

And of course… our new pet snail made its presence known by moving at its own “snail pace” and supervising the whole session 🐌

Another hands-on session full of learning, patience, and excitement as our garden continues to grow week by week 🌼

There’s something a bit magical about this spot 🌿✨ we can’t unsee it now… is that a bird hiding in the moss? 🐦

Week 2 of our gardening journey 🌱✨

This week was all about getting curious and getting our hands dirty! We explored the difference between indoor and outdoor plants, looked at germination times, and started to understand what plants need to thrive.

Out in the garden, we turned over the soil, cleared out weeds, and made space for new growth 🌿

And the best part… everyone planted their own take-home garden cress to grow and care for 🪴💚

Today was all about curiosity, discovery, and getting our hands (a little) dirty! The children explored the allotment, planned what they’d like to grow, and became plant detectives using Google Lens to identify what’s already thriving around us 🌼📱
So many questions, ideas, and excited minds—this is just the beginning 🌿✨
