Indeed, Pilates should feel lush when done well. Working smarter rather than harder, listening to your body, moving without building up any tension is what Pilates is all about.

I love yoga and have no doubts about the many benefits of practising it. However I'm hearing from more and more Pilates clients that they injured their backs during a yoga class. Yoga poses can be strenuous and we all want to do our best at classes and make the most out of our practice so it's easy to get carried away. Pilates beautifully complements yoga, even just one weekly class will help you better understand how to move safely and will make you a better yogi!
