University of the West of England Athletics and Cross Country Club. The club caters for beginner, casual and elite athletes boasting coaching for runners, both endurance and sprint, jumps. We are a very inclusive club and welcome absolutely anyone who wants to give it a go! We offer plenty of opportunities from cross country competitions to road races and casual park run

Day 3 saw the steeplechase final, which Lois and Sian did an amazing job to get into with the standard being much higher than last year! Even with an unfortunate tumble at the end Sian clocked another huge PB! Knocking 34 seconds off her previous best over the course of the weekend coming though in 10th! Possibly feeling the fatigue from her massive 24 second PB and Club Record on Saturday, Lois came through to secure 12th place. Sub 7 mins now looks on the cards for both of them going into the rest of the season!!
Overall, there were fantastic performances from everyone over the weekend. Well done to all of you, let’s go team UWE!!

A sunny day 2 started off with Georgina taking on the long jump, an unfortunate foul jump in the final round ended her chances of making the final. The 200s were next where Luke achieved a PB as well as a new club record! Sam also had a strong run to clock a SB.
At the end of the day the men’s 4x100 team safely got the batten round and in doing so broke another club record!

IT’S CHARITY NIGHT 🧡
🧡 On 14th October our Social Sec will be hosting Hollie Senekal a quiz and DJ night along side at Frenchay Campus SU !!
100% of money raised will be going towards my fundraising pot for the 2023 London marathon for Muscular Dystrophy UK, in aid to find a cure for this life shortening disease. There is a quiz and raffle prize up for grabs so make sure you bring some CASH!
🧡 Quiz and raffle entries are CASH only! But the venue takes card payments at the bar for food and drink
