Town get back in action this week looking to put game week 1 right as the 1st team head down to Plymouth to face Mount Gould. Last season down there Town felt very hard done by and will be looking to put that right today. Meanwhile our ressies come off the back of a last 10 minute loss last week despite playing some good football again. The ressies are back at JC Park to face Ilsington Villa 2nds so please do come.up and show your support for the lads!!

INTRODUCING... BRIXHAM TOWN U7S!!

After succesfully welcoming our u7 girls to the club on friday we are delighted to welcome our new U7's boys team!! They smashed their first proper session tonight learning the new 3v3 format!! We are on the lookout for a u7s kit sponsor for both our boys and girls so if any company is interested in being on the front of our newest teams kits please get in touch!

RESSIES RESULT!!!

Lakeside 2–1 Brixham Town Reserves

Brixham Town Reserves made the long trip down to Plymouth to take on Lakeside in what proved to be a closely fought and competitive encounter.

The game was fairly even throughout the majority of the match, with both sides working hard and creating opportunities. It was Lakeside who took the lead, their free kick taking a deflection on its way through and leaving Brixham with little chance of keeping it out.

Brixham responded well and got themselves back on level terms before the break. Kody stepped up to take a free kick and produced an excellent delivery that found the far corner, somehow bypassing everyone in the box — including the Lakeside goalkeeper — to make it 1-1.

The second half saw the game become a little more frantic, with some dissent leading to a Brixham player spending ten minutes in the sin bin. During that period, Lakeside took advantage of the extra man and regained the lead, scoring from a free kick with a header inside the box.

Brixham continued to battle and felt they had a strong claim for a penalty after a foul in the box, but unfortunately the decision wasn't given. It was a frustrating moment, and Brixham will certainly feel hard done by to come away from the game with nothing, particularly considering how evenly the match had been played for large periods.

There are, of course, plenty of positives to take and plenty still to work on. This is a new, young Brixham Reserves side that is still bedding in, with players adapting to a newer style of play and getting up to speed with each other.

The effort and commitment were there, and the group will continue to learn and improve as the season progresses.

We move forward into next week, with plenty to work on and a determination to put things right.

This Friday we had an amazing first session for our u7 Girls team! Coach Sophie put on a fantastic session for the girls and we cant wait for more this week!!

Today all attention turns to our reserves who have the long trip down to plymouth to face Lakeside 2nds who joined as a new side this year. Town will be looking to add to their unbeaten start to the season after a fantastic comeback last week from 4-0 down to draw 4-4! The 1st team game was unfortunatley cancelled sue to yet another team pulling out of div 1.
