Beckenham Place Park is 96 hectares and has an excellent mixture of woodlands and open meadows. There are a number of paved and signposted walkways around the park. The park has a very nice cafe with outdoor seating, landscaped gardens, childrens play areas, a swimming lake open in the summer and picnic areas.

Beckenham Hill, Beckenham Junction and Ravensbourne Train stations are all a short walk from the park and there is a large carpark accessible from the Beckenham Hill Road entrance

Norman Park is a 56 acre park between Bromley Common and Hayes. It's popular for sports due to the vast amount of open space and has horses in fields and a childrens play park. However the pathways into the woods on the edge of the park can take you out into Bromley Common where you can walk for miles through woods and fields.

There is a free public carpark on Hook Farm Road off Masons Hill or you can catch the 208, 320, 358, 61 or 261 to the Bromley Common the Crown stop

High Elms Country Park, inbetween Farnborough village and Downe. A huge 250 acre park which is a Site of Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve.

There is so much to see here, including a number of Grade II listed buildings, plenty of wildlife, hilltop views, many species of trees and formal gardens. Whilst not open during lockdown, the park has an Environmental Education Centre and cafe too.

The main carpark is on Shire Lane. For access by public transport you can catch the 358 bus to Tubbenden Lane South, then follow church lane all the way to the end and turn right on Shire Lane where you'll come to the park entrance (12 minutes walk from bus stop).

Whitehall Recreation Ground is a 17 acre park inbetween Bickley and Bromley Common. This park has invested in a new exercise trail this year with bars for pull ups, dips etc which is handy while the gyms are closed. There is a large childrens play park, basket ball hoops and a bowls club too.

For extended walks Havelock Recreation Ground and Norman Park/Bromley Common are both 5 minutes away.

There is carparking on Walpole Road and Blenheim Road at either end of the park. It is 11 minutes walk from Bickley station or you can get the 358, 261, 320, 208 or 61 bus to the Southlands Road bus stop and walk along Addison Road to the bottom where you'll find the park entrance off Cowper Street (11 minutes walk).

Havelock Recreation Ground is a small park ideal for a short walk, 15 minutes from Bromley Town Centre. It is a large open space making it a good place for sports, picnics and dog walking.
