The season is drawing to a close now we’re in September, with the final few games taking by place over the next week or so.
A lot of hard work has gone into the ground throughout the season, contending with the extreme warm and dry weather, and more recently with the downpours we’ve had.

Cam B, Olly O and Henry G represented Avoncroft today by playing in a 30 over game for the Worcestershire MCC Hub u13s v Pedmore CC u13s.

The boys, along with James B, had winter training sessions, provided by the MCC Hub to develop their skills and were then selected for today’s game.

All three boys contributed in a convincing win for MCC. Olly top scored with 48, Cam blasted a quick fire 29 and Henry hit three great fours to add another 12 runs to a total of 212.

In reply, Olly and Henry bowled two overs each (Henry picking up one wicket) while Cam kept wicket, chipping in with two great catches and a run out. All this helped MCC to a convincing win.

Well done to the lads - you did Avoncroft proud 🏏 πŸ‘
