After a tidy up and groom, Sage and I went out for a hack (I did wear a hi viz, I just chucked it in the shelter when we got back).
The road work was cut short as the combine was out in a field up the road and he was a bit worried by it and as I struggle with me knee I didn’t fancy getting of to lead him past. He was good though and we finished up in the big field for a bit. I feel like I’m getting better and my knee doesn’t hurt so much Shen riding so I can do more with him now.

On Sunday I managed to fit a short ride in while Dave mucked out. Sage was perfect, my knee was painful but not as bad as it has been so hopefully we can start doing more once we get back in to our routine now the track has been finished.
We have mainly been working on building us both up slowly and properly ready for more complex work. I really want to return to dressage and maybe local showing. The local dressage centre is less than an hours hack away so that is my big plan for later in the year.

The track is now finished completely (this photo was from two days ago) and the fences are all back up. The tractor and digger have trashed part of my field but it was worth it. We are so relieved to be able to drive up and down to the field, it’s a big game changer, especially for the winter! We are going to put our feed shed up in the next few days and then I can start using the shelters again. It’s going to make life so much easier.
