E-bike midlands E-BM EBM

Things have been going well for us at E-bike midlands sold a fair few bikes and accessories since our launch and we are now getting some bikes coming in with faults and people wanting software updates.
Here is a few pictures and write up of a haibike we have just repaired.

Customers complaint was non operational motor or screen in his haibike this had occurred after going through some water. First of all we removed the motor from the bike frame to inspect the wiring, found a couple of green wires so cleaned these up but had no success. So next we got the motor assembly on the bench and opened up, only to find it to be saturated in water. This had done unrepairable damage to the circuit boards. It looks as though it had shorted the battery pack out all causing a non functional battery. Fault came up when you pressed button on battery pack, we found it would not reset or charge. So we explained our findings to the customer and ordered a brand new Yamaha motor and battery, the motor had to be flashed to exact model of bike for it to work correctly. We then installed new parts to bike frame and all was good haibike back up and running.
So just a word of warning maybe think twice before taking your ebike through water it could be a very costly mistake
