Stoke Prior Bowls Club

Well it's that time of year again and our green is now OPEN 🌳
If you fancy a game, practice or just to try out something new, pop along to the club or call Dennis.
What could be better than getting some exercise out in the fresh air, making new friends or being part of a team. Our club is open to all 😊

Our Invitation Doubles Competition 2025 was won today by the lovely couple Jack and Pam Wild 🏆 who beat Kelvin Wilson and Trevor Sayers in the final 21-17.
It was an exciting game with some great bowling.

The semi finalists were:
Jack & Pam beat Geoff Mycock & Charlie Wilkes 21-19.
Kelvin Wilson & Trevor Sayers beat John Russell & Dennis Harris 21-17.
It was a lovely sunny day with some great bowling from everyone that played today 🌞
Thanks to all that attended to support our Club, did measures, marked cards and organised 😊

Today we held the Bill Merrill Handicap Singles Competition 🏆
It was a very hot 🌞 but a very enjoyable day and there was some great bowling from all who took part.

The winner 2025 was Sue Harris 🎉

Today we held the Vic Davies Novice Cup Competition 🏆 which was won by Sue Harris who defeated Dan Butt in the final 21-16.
The Semi Finalists were Dan Butt V Helen Youster 21-9

Quarter Finalists were Sue Harris V Steve Williams 21-11
Dan Butt V Cobey Higgins 21-13
Helen Youster V Phil Baker 21-7

A great day was had by all, great fun and bowling.

We are holding our Annual Open Day this Sunday the 11th May at 12pm at Stoke Bowls Club, Westonhall Road, Stoke Prior, B60 4AL.
This is a good time to come along and try your hand at Crown Green Bowls. We have bowls available to use and bowlers to help with tuition.
Anyone is welcome, any age or gender so please come along and have some fun.
The Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club is open for refreshments.

Today we held our Novices Bowls Competition. We had a great day, 12 players in a knock out format.
Semi finalists were Tom Richardson who beat Phil Baker 21 -16 and Trev Sayers who beat Sue Harris 21-20.

We had a great time at our open day yesterday and thanks to all members that attended and enjoyed a game, it was so nice to all get together again after a very long winter. Thank you to all that came along to show interest in what we do and maybe join us.
The weather was kind although a bit windy at times.
