🏆 JOHN MACDONALD OPEN TRIPLES 🏆
Today we held the John MacDonald Open Triples at Brora Bowling Club, with some fantastic bowls played throughout the day.
After the group stages, the semi-finals saw:
🔹 Kevin Floyd, Cameron Mackay & Barry Philips take on Nigel Mitchell, Colin Campbell & Colin Dent
🔹 Margaret MacLeod, George Mowat & Alister MacLeod take on Aaron Ayrey, Derrick MacLennan & Daniel Norrie
The teams skipped by Colin and Daniel came through their respective semi-finals to set up a cracking final.
Colin’s team were hoping to gain a bit of revenge after being beaten by their opponents earlier in the group stages, but the final proved to be another excellent contest. There were tremendous bowls played throughout, with the friendly but competitive fighting spirit that every final should have.
After a great battle, it was the Brora/Golspie combination of Aaron Ayrey, Derrick MacLennan & Daniel Norrie who came out victorious and were crowned this year’s John MacDonald Open Triples champions! 🏆👏
Congratulations to the winners and well done to Colin, Nigel and Colin on reaching the final.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part today, and to everyone who helped out before and during the competition. Your support helped make it another successful and enjoyable day at Brora Bowling Club.
