What a fantastic Celebration of Croquet Day! ❤️

We’re delighted to say that over £500 was raised for the RNLI – and donations are still coming in!

It was a really enjoyable day of croquet, friendship and plenty of laughter, shared with players from Sidmouth, Exeter, Bude, Dowlish Wake and Taunton Deane Croquet Clubs.

A particularly big THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers who gave their time and worked so hard behind the scenes to make the day so special. We simply couldn’t put on days like this without you. ❤️

🎉 Celebration of Croquet Day at Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club 🎉

On Sunday 13 September, we’ll be welcoming players from local clubs for a friendly, non-competitive day of croquet.

With GC, Short Croquet and AC roll-ups, players of all abilities can come together, enjoy some fun on the lawns and help us raise funds for the RNLI. ⚓️

We’re looking forward to a wonderful day of croquet for a very worthy cause!

Congratulations to club member Louise Smith who won the Bowl at the Women’s GC European Championship held at Carrickmines in Dublin at the weekend.

What a fantastic week of world-class croquet at the GC Open Championships at Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club!

A huge thank you to every player who travelled from around the world to compete and help make this such a memorable championship. We witnessed some outstanding play throughout the week, culminating in a truly classic final.

Congratulations to young New Zealander Levi Franks, who defeated defending champion Reg Bamford in a thrilling final, winning 7-6, 7-6 in one of the closest and most exciting finals we have seen.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to all the Budleigh volunteers whose hard work, dedication and enthusiasm made the Championships possible. From Hoop Setters,catering and scoring to streaming, commentary and administration, this event simply could not happen without you.
