Next weekend our BJFC coaches take on the parents in another highly competitive charity rematch, hoping to keep their unbeaten record intact and the parents wanting revenge from the previous game.

Rivalries aside, the whole purpose of this game is to raise money for Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service that has been helping the family of one of our coaches and many more across Berkshire and the surrounding counties.

Today our Burnham Junior U10 Wildcats played their very first game! As you can see smiles all round 😊 one very proud coach, some very proud parents and a very proud club 💙

So sad to learn that we’ve lost one of our former players 😢 Thoughts and prayers are with his family - Rest in peace Kyron 🙏

The mother of a man who died following an incident in Waterman Court on Sunday has paid tribute to him.

She described Kyron Lee, aged 21 as having the kindest heart and made everyone feel special.

We're Backing Play Safe

The whole of football at every level will join forces on Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 October 2022 to promote Play Safe – football’s national campaign to focus attention of the vital importance of safeguarding in our national game.

The campaign is officially supported by the NSPCC as well as the Premier League, EFL, Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship.

This year’s focus remains on the key role of parents/carers in safeguarding, with two main messages being conveyed:

Have girls teams play as part of the BCGL on Saturday mornings, we are looking for goal keepers for our u11, u14 and u15 teams.
Also players for our u14 team.

We would be happy to give any girls the opportunity to play a game of football at any age group from 5 to 18 years of age.

Following the very sad news and as a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen, the FA have taken the directive to postpone all grassroots and Adult football through all levels.

In addition to this and to show a mark of respect from the club training will also be cancelled this weekend.

As it currently stands, training can resume as of Monday 12th September, however if that changes, we will update you.

Playing Saturday football in the East Berks league.

This is a Knife Amnesty Event on Sunday 24th July 12PM - 6PM at the Changing Rooms Kedermister Park (SL3 7QB) organised by Langley Football Club.

Alongside the amnesty the event offers football coaching and boxing coaching, with Stevoss Music-Media 'love music hate violence' and a safe place for those involved in or around people carrying weapons to talk to those who have experience of that culture without judgement.

FA Touchline Mums, Social Football for Women of all ages and abilities in and around the community.

Following on from our success at developing junior and youth football for girls, BJFC Wildcats are now happy to offer the opportunity for women of all ages and abilities to keep fit, interact socially and to play or help take part in recreational football sessions.

The scheme has been launched by the Berks & Bucks FA and BJFC Wildcats invited to be a provider for the sessions, with input from female coaches, players, fitness and sports physio coaches.

Sessions will take place at Burnham Grammar School, starting this month on Tuesday 21st June, 7.15pm-8.15pm, in the gym.(dates & times may change to accommodate anyone that can’t join in on Tuesdays).

BGS offers us facilities too play indoors or outdoors in a comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable environment to encourage participation for all, as part of a group, team and club.

Following the departure of our goal keeper to pursue an alternative sport, upcoming U14 Greens (Year 9 in September) are looking for a keeper,as well as outfield players, to help us build on our current, formidable squad for next season.

We train on Tuesdays (7-8:30) with excellent facilities, which is continuing throughout Summer. Burnham play Saturdays in the East Berkshire Football Alliance League. Looking for players with league experience to add to our already established team.
