The range is open for current members to book a lane to shoot with Paul Prior to attending the range. The membership waiting list has now been closed and we will not be any new membership applications. We have 100+ People to work through on the list so if you are already on the list wait to be contacted by our membership team who will be running new member sessions on Thursdays.
Any members that did not renew back in June will now be considered lapsed, this is both full and probationary. Meaning you will now have to wait till the membership applications open back up.
As the light at the end of the tunnel that has been Covid19 comes ever near we are getting things in place for the return to normal.
We are currently only open for current paid up members to book lanes in advance. If you have let your membership lapse you wont be able to shoot and have to join the waiting list pool.
For all those interested in joining you will need to fill out the waiting list form on this page. Once the training syllabus is finalised we will start to do group probationary sessions which are scheduled to begin in November and dependant on the Covid situation at the time.
Paul has been checking the safety of the new coffee machine! Very nice 👌.
I have been approached by a London AED Charity who can supply the whole package and training at a discount! We are getting closer to the goal but we still need your help. Thanks to all those that have donated online and in person at the club.
Help us get a Defibrillator, organized by Kurt Henney Hi There I'm Kurt and I'm raising money to buy a Defibrillator for my local shooting club. Bu… Kurt Henney needs your support for Help us get a Defibrillator
Hi Everyone, as part of the refurbishments and improvements in previsions for members we wanted to add an AED to our equipment. They are life saving bits of kit but are quite expensive and fall outside of our budget so any help by the way of donations or sharing this would go a long way. We also have 4 AED trained range officers currently. https://gofund.me/81f0e3b3

More of our volunteers giving up their weekend getting some RSO training in down at Bisley.
We will be doing a phased return to shooting at the club hopefully beginning at the end of this month. We will be opening to existing members first on a pre-booking basis only.
No unarranged walk-ins will be permitted, this will give us the opportunity to get back into the swing of things and give the volunteer staff who have given a lot of time over the pandemic to work on the club buildings a chance to get some much-needed practice time in.
Training for existing probationary members will return on a limited basis, for those prospective probationary members we will work through the waiting list as capacity allows once the new training syllabus goes live.
Clean your rifles and get ready to get back to shooting. The NRA outdoor ranges open today and what a fine morning it is for a shoot.

Update - Range Works, Abuse of NSRA Staff, Closures, Membership.
we are still carrying on the work at the club. Please remember this work is been carried out by volunteers who are donating their free time and skills so it's taking a bit longer than expected. However, we are in a position that we can be operational we still want to ensure that we have a good finish.
As you will be aware the NRA and NSRA have had to close due to government restrictions and it has come to light that NSRA staff have been abused while answering inquiries. This is something that is completely unacceptable and should not be condoned by the shooting community as a whole. We are one community and need to support each other through this pandemic and into the future to protect our sport.
We have now moved to fully online membership and will be doing all 2021 membership renewals. All members should have received emails from go membership and info@btsc with advice on how to log on. As previously stated we have extended the membership to all those members that were paid up for 2019-2020 through the 2020-2021 period with no charge, however, donations are accepted.
For 2021-2022 membership period payments will be required for continued membership and will be handled by the Go Membership system. We will remind members in the renewal month so no one misses out.
Happy 2021 let's make it a good one!
Merry Christmas 🎄 from all of us at

Has anyone got any interesting ways they have personaly used their own carriage boxes? We throw away so many always nice to upcycle.
I know I'm ready for Lockdown to end! Everyone will have to shoot new averages at this rate :P
Something extra for your swag bag when we open? These are some of the stickers that will be available from the BTSC shop.
Good Morning BTSC gang,
As you will be aware the government will be sliding us back into a lockdown from the 5th November to 2nd December. We are still not currently open for normal shooting and will be closed completely until the end of lockdown 2.0.
Improvement work is still ongoing at the club but we ask unless you are in the established work crew bubble that you do not visit the club at this time.
Many Thanks
Thank you to everyone that has put their names down on the waiting list, everyone's details have been provided to the membership secretary for when we reopen.

Important Announcement:
Range Opening:
We will soon be opening for members to book range time, priority will be given to those shooting in competitions. Mike is working on putting together a booking system that will be easy to use for everyone.
It will be strictly limited in numbers to keep us covid compliant, first the 10m range, and then the 50m range once some finishing touches are done.
Membership:
We will be looking for people to start to come to the range to start sorting out their membership renewals, this is important for those of you that have a FAC. We are looking at introducing a direct debit payment if this would help people?
Competitions:
The NSRA/Eley 2020/2021 competition is open for entries, please contact Paul Wallis as he has the entry forms. Entries must be in before 16th December. Stage one to be shot by 25th JANUARY 2021. See the link below for more information on the competition.
https://www.nsra.co.uk/index.php/competitions-mainmenu-158/entry-forms?download=4131:eley-2020-21-entry-form
Members who have to complete Eley stage two cards will be contacted individually to arrange a safe time to come and use the 10m range.
Well-done everyone for taking part in the RWS Leagues before the lockdown. The results are in!
A change of tone and layout for the gates, nice and simple :)
Seems that the butts are quite the playground when no one is looking!
The NSRA have put out a survey surrounding the ongoing changes to it's structure and future. If you have time please give it a few clicks.

NSRA Organisational Change - Phase 1 THE NSRA are striving to transform and modernise, so that the Association is well-positioned to support the shooters of today and tomorrow. The NSRA needs your help to become the organisation you want and need. Please take your time to complete this survey. Your responses are very important.
Afternoon shooting fans!
I know we are all raring to get back to it but we have been taking in the latest advice and guidance. As it stands at the moment we would not be able to provide adequate social distancing for shooters at this time.
We are going to push ahead and finish the 50m range works first before we look at opening up for shooting as normal. We also need to look at what we can offer for those who have qualified for stage two of the Eley Competition.
We will not be open for shooting before the 1st of September 2020, after the 1st of September we will be doing a staged return to operations giving the competition shooters the chance to get their competition cards out of the way. (That's assuming there is no new regulations or a further restriction to operation).
Thanks for everyone that came down all last week to help transform the club and Rob and Penny putting on food to feed the hungry workers.
This week we are looking a big push to get some large elements finished, hopefully the weather holds so we can plow on and open once we are sure we can be Covid safe!
We are plowing ahead with the work and almost ready to complete one major element on the 50m Range in the coming weeks!
Once we have a date for our reopening we are not only planning to have a BBQ but we are in talks with a local a gunsmith to also offer members the ability to have their rifles serviced as you wait and enjoy a burger!
A great morning of shooting to break up all this building work.
The scores on the doors:
Ron.....83
Kurt.....81
Will C...70
Will B...69
Piotr....64
We are looking at ways to open and stay COVID-19 compliant. One of our main challenges right now is our Range officers are giving up their spare time to help expedite the opening of our doors. This leaves little spare time to operate the range as it was pre-COVID-19. What would people think about a limited opening of the 10m range during the weekday with pre-booking of lanes?
Now, this is what I call silver service!
Thanks for the team that came down and helped out on the weekend. We could not do any of the work without you guys. That includes those not pictured!
When will we open??? We still have a fair chunk of work to complete but we may be able to allow a small group of people to start to use the 10m point, this will be inline with the NSRA advice. More updates soon.
