Achilles tendinitis it’s a Very common injury this . I’ve just got over it and it takes patience and plenty of strengthening and mobility work . I will do a post everyday this week for people who are struggling with it . James Tingle

Well done to these four who have been visiting me this year for sports massage . All four got personal bests at the weekend . Luke flew out to Amsterdam and got a 2.44 marathon time 👍. Martin ran a 1.22 at the Manchester half his team mate Ben ran 1.26 and Myles was ten minutes under his time with a 1.50 time well done lads keep up the good work .

Anybody struggling at the minute with running related Niggles/injury’s and want to get back at it next year and enjoy your running again . I’ve got a couple of spaces available over winter to get you strong . It will involve one session face to face to test your weaknesses and movement patterns . Then I will write up a bespoke training plan to get you robust for next years running.

Hello everyone
Just an update , I have had plenty of new faces ranging from runners, office worker’s, an army lad on leave, two farriers (who fit horses shoes), factory workers and plenty of clients with back issues. The client’s I have treated that are stand out successes is one of the farriers who was on constant pain killers. However, with regular fortnightly visits for sports massage there is no longer the need for medication.
Another client who is a fisherman was struggling to carry on enjoying his hobby with constant debilitating back pain (to much sitting and his body was very weak). I set him some basic strength training whilst, also getting him moving more. This has massively improved his ability to carry on living a normal pain free life.
Final client success is a runner from a local running club. He was struggling with a hip issue, I checked his movement pattern and he had really weak hips . With this in mind I suggested he buy a squat rack. Since this he has been been doing regular strength training sessions and is now back running consistently 😁.

Doing another strength training plan for a runner to prevent injury and promote better running efficiency . I can do these for none athletes as well . I’ve got 2 places remaining . So if your a runner who struggles with injury’s or your a none runner who wants to promote better posture and every day tasks start to feel easier give us a shout . Do this in your own time and no need for fancy gym equipment .

Bit of an update on how the last couple of month have gone , been at full capacity treating people mainly for back issues and helping athletes get strong to prevent injury . Been getting good feedback days after the sports massage saying there feeling better and giving them advice on the importance of keeping moving and to incorporate some basic core strength to maintain good body health . I will have a few spots coming up if anybody is struggling 😊
