White Hill Stud is looking for an experienced, reliable groom to join our professional competition yard.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in exceptional horse care, enjoys working as part of a team and understands the standards required on a busy competition yard.
The role includes:
* Daily horse care, including mucking out, feeding, grooming and turning out.
* Preparing horses for exercise and competition.
* Tack cleaning and keeping the yard tidy and organised.
* Assisting with the water treadmill and cold spa.
* Monitoring horses’ health and wellbeing and reporting any concerns promptly.
* Groundwork and hacking, depending on experience.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Previous experience working on a professional yard, ideally with competition horses.
* Confidence handling fit, athletic horses.
* Excellent attention to detail and a calm, patient approach.
* Reliability, good time management and the ability to work independently.
* A positive attitude and willingness to support the team.
* The ability to drive a 3.5-tonne horsebox would be an advantage.
You will be joining a dedicated team caring for our family of horses, with excellent facilities including a water treadmill and cold spa, indoor arena and gallops.
