Mental health can be a real challenge to manage as we journey through our lives. There can be so many highlights and joyous times, but the path can vary and the hard times can feel so full of despair.

Lancashire Mind is celebrating its 25th anniversary of all the support and care it has been able to provide. Our Director Simon J Kidd is going to run 25km to support the charity.

“Running has certainly benefited my mental health in many difficult times and my children have brought me so much joy throughout our years together. This led me to choose Father’s day to take on the 25km with the support of the wonderful Leah, Joel, Ethan, Amelie and their partners along the way.

I will run for everyone, but with Father’s especially in mind on this day. Whether it be those who have struggled personally with Mental health or those who have faced the traumatic effects of people who have struggled around them.”

Any kind messages of support and generous donations will be greatly appreciated and drive our minds to continue pushing the body to run when the challenge becomes hard.

Well done to Graduate student Momoka who performed beautifully at the Cecchetti Society, “Studio to Stage” performance held at The Royal Ballet School today. We are extremely proud of all her many great achievements, which include successfully auditioning for a converted place on the esteemed English National Ballet School graduate programme. There will be opportunity to see Momoka perform alongside all the Mentors in Ballet Education students in our Summer Performance in July. Details of the event will be announced soon…👏👏👏

We have an exciting week ahead, as not only are we thankful to be nominated for a Nurturing Creativity Award, we also eagerly anticipate our talented students performing and opening the celebrations at the Burnley Mechanics Theatre.
Alongside current MIBE full time students, we are thrilled to welcome alumni Hannah Shutt and Josh Webb to also perform alongside.
This will be a wonderful performance opportunity for our students to further develop their craft and a rewarding experience, to learn from those who have lived the journey to a career as professional dancers.

From elite training at the Central School of Ballet to performing professionally with Northern Ballet, Lynsey’s journey has taken her from Burnley to the world stage and back again.

Alongside husband Simon, whose own path into ballet began at a young age and led to a professional performing career, their shared experience in high-level dance has shaped something truly special here in Burnley - Mentors in Ballet Education

Now based at Queens Mill, Charlotte Street, they are using their years of training, performance and teaching to create opportunities for the next generation of dancers, building confidence, discipline and creativity through ballet.

It’s a story of dedication, opportunity and coming full circle, with a few unexpected moments along the way.

A huge congratulations to all the dancers who performed so beautifully finals yesterday.
Some of our full time students were fortunate to have the opportunity to perform in such a professional and wonderful environment and represented the school and themselves beautifully.
A big thank you to .devernay and Sindy Monson, for organising and holding such a fantastic opportunity and for bringing the artists to dance and inspire the participants even further. Congratulations on a fabulous 10th anniversary celebration.🎉🎉🎉
