KNIFE DROP 002 / PACK KNIFE // NOW LIVE

Some evenings make you work for it. Others just fall into place.

The right deer, in the right place, with the late August sun setting behind us.

A lone fallow pricket at 180 metres. A few seconds on the sticks and a clean shot.

Sometimes it really is that simple.

There’s a human element to everything we make at Rushbrooke.

As we grow, we’ll invest in better machinery, better processes and better ways of making things. But there will always be skilled hands behind every knife that leaves our workshop.

Hands that grind, finish, sharpen and pack them. The same hands that carry them into the field and put them to work.

We know that matters.

3 days.

If you’re not happy with your sheath, you’ll have to deal directly with the four year old.

The final few to grind.

Making one knife is enjoyable. Making a batch of them consistently is a different discipline altogether.

It’s repetitive work, and most of it will never be seen - but it’s what we do when no-one’s watching that matters.

The Pack Knife drops in 5 days.

We’ll be sharpening right up til 7pm… however many we get ready by then will be the number we drop!

One week to go.

Right now the workshop is full of Pack Knives in various stages of becoming finished tools.

Every handle machined, fitted and finished here. Every blade ground, sharpened and sheathed here. Made by a small team in an old Suffolk stable yard.

We started Rushbrooke because we believed Britain deserved outdoor brands of its own. Brands that make things here, use what they make, and build them for people who care about the same things we do.

We’re still right at the beginning, but every batch gets us a little closer to what we set out to build.

Next Sunday, the biggest batch we’ve made yet goes live.

The Pack Knife.
Made in England.

The most memorable days blur the lines between fiction and fact, when you question whether it really happened.

Make it happen.
