🌱 From Field to Finished Seed – Altivo Harvest Underway 🚜

The journey to producing high-performing grass seed starts long before it reaches the bag.

Recently, our Seed Production Administrator, Abigail Lloyd, took members of the warehouse team to see the harvest of second-year Altivo and gain a better understanding of the seed production process.

A big thank you to Mickey for providing an insightful demonstration of the harvesting operation, including the combine, stripper header, and how the crop is carefully harvested.

Altivo continues to impress, ranking #5 in the British Society of Plant Breeders - BSPB/STRI Group Turfgrass Seed 2026 S1 Table. Launched in 2024, this perennial ryegrass cultivar is recognised for its excellent all-round performance, with early spring growth and rapid recovery making it an ideal choice for high-quality sports turf.
