💙 What a weekend at for 3 of our skaters!

Ollie, aka Blitzo del Toro skated in 2 games for team Cornsilk and Jam n Juice, both advanced OTA. They had an amazing time on track, did some fab offence as Pivot and some exceptional blocking taking some insanely big hits!

Suze, aka Crusin for a Suze'n also played 2 games for Glow Patrol and Mint to Be and had the best time! They stood firm against some very fast and strong offence and jammers and loved playing with some skaters who they were against during 5N!

Ellen, aka Melon Baller, took to the track for Pulp Friction and found themselves against Cruisin so immediately offenced taking her out ha ha! During the game they jammed, blocked and was pivot and proved invaluable to their team in what was an exciting game!

And whilst the derby was AMAZING across an insane amount of games, what was the stand out of the weekend was the joy of being in this wonderful, loving, accepting and supportive community. Seeing friends, making new ones and cheering for EVERYONE.

Thank you to all the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and committee that put together.

Next year SRD will be back, with more skaters and more smiles!

In our 8 week programme we can teach you to skate if you can’t, and also the beautiful chaos of roller derby!

We train at 2 venues and you can go to both and .

Our 8 week rookie course is only £50 and we can loan you all the gear to boot!
