What an amazing experience for our Under 8 Lions and Under 9 Phoenix this past weekend at Gigg Lane. The kids were great and represented the club brilliantly. The Mighty Shakers made sure they put on a quality performance, and all the Seedfield kids loved it. Thank you again, Bury FC! ⚽️💜💙

Seedfield Sports JFC are starting a new chapter next season with our first-ever girls' football team. We already have some amazing girls playing in our established teams, but this will be an amazing opportunity for any girl to be part of something special. With amazing coaches who have years of experience, your kids will be in the right hands to develop their skills while making sure they have a great time doing it. Our amazing under 9 Phoenix are taking part in race for life to raise money for cancer research, an amazing charity that helps alot of people so any donations would be greatly appreciated, proud of you all Phoenix ⚽️💜

Seedfield Phoenix U9s Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.

What a day for our Under 8 Tigers yesterday! 🤩 They played an amazing football game in the morning and then became mascots for the mighty Shakers in the afternoon. Their faces say it all – they had an incredible time! ⚽🐯

⚽️Team of the week⚽️

Cup football was back this weekend. Despite some bad weather, the pitches were able to hold out, and the kids were out in force.

First up, our Black Panthers, with their amazing shot-stopper Ismaeel. This kid is fearless and can spring into attack at a moment's notice. He put in an amazing performance to help his team come away with a last-minute draw. To say Ismaeel is only 6 years old, he's already showing great maturity, and he's definitely someone his team can rely on. Well done ⚽️👍

Next up for our Under 8 Tigers are Leon and Alfie. These two are polar opposites on the pitch, but what they both bring to the team is incredible: Leon with his lightning pace, composure, and work rate, and Alfie with his amazing strength, determination, and heart. It's absolutely brilliant to see what these kids can do on the pitch, and that's why they've made it into the team of the week. Well done, lads! 🐯💪

Not a great weekend for our Under 8 Lions, but that doesn't take away from the great performance that was on display from Harley and Neve. Like brother and sister off the pitch, both showed amazing heart the whole game this last week. Harley wowed the sidelines with his amazing solo goal, dribbling past two players and smashing the ball into the back of the net, and Neve gave a rock-solid defensive performance where one parent described her as an animal. 💪 Great work, Harley and Neve! 🦁💜

A great result for our Under 8 Lynx team this week with back-to-back victories to start their cup campaign, so well done, Lynx. Their Player of the Match went to Alex; the kid's an absolute machine, working up and down that pitch, helping out in defense and further up the pitch. He had a brilliant performance that was capped off with a goal against a very tricky opposition. Well done, Alex! 👏 ⚽️💜

For the Under 9 Phoenix team, we had three players. The coaches couldn't decide as two players had amazing performances, so Nylah and Ayaan shared the spoils this week. Nylah with her amazing footwork and passing skills, and Ayaan with his drive and power—great work, kids. From the parents, they gave the honors to Crispus. This kid is so laid-back, I think he could play football lying down on his back. The close ball control and effortless link-up play are so good to watch. Well done to all the Phoenix! 💪💜

It's a family affair this week for our Under 11 Panthers and Under 15 Tigers, with brothers Ivan and Evan both making the team of the week. Ivan is selected for back-to-back weeks, which is brilliant, and he's now been dubbed "Mr. Consistency" with his amazing work rate covering every blade of grass. It looks like Evan wasn't going to sit back and let his brother get all the glory. Amazing work, kids, and whatever your parents are feeding you at home, it's definitely working! 🤣⚽️💪

Finishing off with our Under 16 Jaguars, it's been a tough winter for the kids with not much football played at all. With the kids having a long break, it was always going to take a while to get back into their stride. While the team just fell short, they never gave up, and their heads never dropped, which is the sign of a true team. Oliver made the team of the week in their first game back after a solid performance, putting in a great effort at right back, being ever reliable. Well done, Oliver, and well done, Jags! 🐆⚽️💜
