All the hard work on the pitch is starting to pay off but there's still loads more to do on this and around the rest of the ground.
So don't forget our June work parties start tomorrow, 10am till 1pm. Please come down and help if you can and you'll be rewarded with a bacon butty (veggie options available) and a brew.
Scruffy clothes advised!
Other work party dates are:
Sunday 14th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 28th.

** EDIT Slight change of plan - due to other commitments, Rob and Richard will be attending the work party day on Sunday 14th June instead of this Saturday. **
After the doom and gloom of two successive play-off defeats for Ramsbottom United, ahead of the new season, things are looking much brighter both on and off the pitch.
Work has already begun on a spruce-up of the stadium, as well as on the pitch itself, as a result of Chairman Harry Williams, sixty years after helping to launch the club, forming a new committee to help out with the various tasks of running a non-league club both on matchdays and during the week, combined with looking at options to increase the clubβs revenues.
Throughout June, supporters are invited down to assist with the many jobs required to make the Riverside Stadium a cleaner, brighter and more attractive venue.
Repairing, painting and cleaning are the main tasks, and as such, four days have been earmarked for fans to come along and help out, with a bacon butty and a drink offered as a thank you!
It all begins this Saturday 6th, followed by Sunday 14th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 28th, between 10am and 1pm.
Supporters and volunteers need just turn up and if they have additional brushes, cloths and sweeping brushes, then all the better!
This Saturday will also give the supporters an opportunity to discuss the plans of new manager Rob Henry.
Rob, along with his new coaching team of Richard Thomas and Ste Ryan, are coming down to help with the tidy up, ahead of their first training session the following Saturday.
Rob is well on the way to putting together a squad for the new season which he feels will be more than capable of pushing for that elusive promotion spot. A number of last seasons players will be staying with the Rams, but Rob is excited at the prospect of blending them with some new talent and one or two older heads.
Supporters can expect news of the new squad once the formalities have been completed on July 1st.
Volunteers can also put their names forward to assist on match days with the various duties of stewarding, car-park attending, selling golden goal tickets, and raffles, as the Rams look forward to what they hope will be a successful and entertaining campaign.

We'll be holding work parties throughout June for the many jobs needed around the stadium to get it ready for forthcoming season.
Whether it be painting, cleaning, washing, weeding or repairs, there's lots to get stuck into and we'd really appreciate any help that can be afforded.
Held on alternating Saturdays and Sundays during June, the parties will be from 10am through to 1pm and, as always, a bacon (or veggie alternative) butty and a brew is available to all helpers that come along.
Thank you.

We are delighted to announce the completion of our management team for the forthcoming season with the appointments of Richard Thomas and Stephen Ryan.
Staying with the Rams for Rob Henryβs debut season in charge are ever-popular members of the backroom staff in Lewis Hindley and Tony Dunn, taking up their usual roles of Goalkeeper Coach and First Aider respectively.
Joining the club as our new Assistant Manager is 43 year old Richard Thomas. A UEFA A License coach, Richard has previously worked in academy football with Preston North End and Blackpool as well as roles with the likes of Chorley, Lancaster City, Garstang and Squires Gate.
One of Richardβs stand out achievements in non-league was helping Squires Gate to their joint highest ever North West Counties placing when they finished 6th in the Premier Division back in 2015.
βI am delighted to join Ramsbottom United as assistant manager,β said Richard.
βThe club is in a strong position, with a very good group of players and innovative coaching staff. I look forward to getting started to improve on the already excellent work from previous seasons.
βI canβt wait to meet everyone concerned with the club, especially βRammy Ultrasβ who Iβve already heard a lot about.β
A person that requires no introduction though is Rammy Womenβs first team manager Stephen Ryan, who also joins up with Robβs staff as a coach for the season ahead.
Another extremely popular member around the club, and the wider juniors set up, local lad Ste canβt wait to get going.
βFirstly Iβd like to thank Rob for giving me this opportunity and Iβm so proud to be a part of his new management team and really excited for whatβs ahead,β said Ryan.
βItβs a fresh chapter, we have big ambitions and a real chance to help build something special together.β
New Rams manager Rob Henry was delighted to complete his management group as the club look to put a hectic couple of weeks behind them and get ready for what promises to be a busy pre-season.
βTommo is a fantastic acquisition for the club, his coaching qualities and ability to work with players is second to none,β said Henry.
βHis experience and knowledge will be key to enhancing the group further and, with the addition of Ste Ryan and with Lewis and Tony staying with us too, I absolutely canβt wait to get started.β

After 60 years in charge, Ramsbottom United Chairman Harry Williams has decided the time is right to stand back from many of the day-to-day duties, whilst still remaining as club Chairman.
Having been instrumental in setting up the club back in 1966, and after what is probably a record-breaking spell as a football club chairman, Harry suggested that the time is right for a new committee to be formed to take the club forward.
Former secretary Tony Cunningham explained, βHarry told me he was thinking of stepping back from much of what he does, and after 60 years at the helm, he has certainly earned a breakβ.
βHe then suggested we run the club with a new committee, and offered me the position of Vice-Chairman, with the aim of creating that committee. This has now been done, and we are all excited at the prospect of being able to guide the club over the coming years.
βAs for Harry, he will still attend matches, but now with the ability to enjoy the games without all the other duties which have restricted his viewing time for so long.
βHe has deserved to be able to sit in the sponsors lounge, enjoying a couple of ciggies and a couple of beers!β
The new committeeβs first move was to appoint popular coach Rob Henry as the new club manager following the retirement of former boss Steve Wilkes.
Exciting times await for the Rams who have missed out on promotion over the last two seasons, bowing out on both occasions at the play-off stage.
Hopes are high among the committee and supporters that Rob and the players will complete the job during the upcoming season.

Ramsbottom United are delighted to be able to announce that Rob Henry will take over as our new manager following Steve Wilkesβ retirement at the end of last season.
Rob, 38, holds a UEFA A license and joined the club last summer having previously worked as assistant manager at Lancaster City, FC United of Manchester and Bootle.
That was all after a 450+ game playing career in non-league for the likes of Lancaster City, Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Kendal Town, as well as a handful of appearances in Rammy blue back in 2018.
With the club just missing out in the play-offs again last season, keeping some continuity after Steve stepping down was imperative as we look to hopefully go one better next season and a return to the NPL.
βIβm delighted to be appointed as the new manager of Ramsbottom United F.C. following what has been a whirlwind few days,β said Rob.
βIβm excited for the challenge ahead and to build on the momentum and foundations built last season. There is a real togetherness around the club, which has been evident over the past few days, and Iβm looking forward to working closely with the players, staff, supporters and volunteers to continue driving standards forward and helping the team keep progressing.
βMy aim is to create an environment where everyone is aligned and working collaboratively towards the same goal β bringing continued success and pride to the football club.β
Weβre delighted to have you leading the Rams, Rob, and wish you every success in the seasons ahead.
