Becoming a dad is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me, but somewhere along the way I stopped prioritising myself quite as much. Training became less consistent, weight crept on, and if I’m being truthful, I lost myself a little bit.
So this year I decided it was time to get back into shape and start prioritising my own health again.
The approach has been simple — consistency across everything:
• 🏋️ Regular weight training to maintain strength and muscle
• ⚽ Football — probably my favourite way of getting cardio in
• 🚴 Spin classes for extra conditioning
• 😴 Prioritising sleep and recovery
• 🍻 Massively limiting alcohol
• 💉 Peptides — Retatrutide, NAD+ and GHK-Cu alongside the training and lifestyle changes
• 🥗 Being more disciplined with nutrition and overall routine
The results:
82.2kg ➡️ 73.9kg
14.51% ➡️ 7.60% body fat
92cm ➡️ 80cm waist
6.31kg of fat mass lost
For me, though, this has been about much more than getting lean.
It’s about getting my routine, discipline, confidence and identity back.
Life changes massively when you become a parent, and rightly so. Your priorities change — but that doesn’t mean your own health has to disappear completely.
You can be a present dad, run a business, enjoy your life and still invest some time into becoming the best version of yourself.
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to stack enough good days together.
Still training. Still learning. Still progressing. 💪
