✨New Venue, New Date, Same format ✨

Come and join me for a lovely festive evening of Christmas wreath making at Greenmount Cricket Club.

I’ll guide you through making your own Christmas wreath from start to finish, using lots of beautiful fresh foliage and a selection of seasonal decorations. Everything you need will be provided, so you can simply enjoy the evening and take home a wreath you’ve made yourself, ready to hang on your door for Christmas.

Tickets are £50 and include all materials, full guidance throughout the workshop and a welcome glass of fizz on arrival.

You don’t need any experience at all, and you’re more than welcome to come along on your own or with friends.

We had been asking – and you have delivered in spades! Our big Bank Holiday charity fundraiser for Bury Hospice, held in memory of Ursula Skinner, has been a huge success.
August Bank Holiday Charity T20 match

Last Monday was a truly memorable occasion, and a large crowd attended despite the unpredictable weather to enjoy some terrific entertainment. The day showcased the very best of Greenmount Cricket Club, with lots of fond memories, plenty of fun and laughs, some bright future cricket prospects and incredible generosity.

OK, so the BIG question is: how much was raised?

Well, we’re still in the process of finalising the total, so hopefully next week’s bulletin will have the answer! BUT, so far, it’s looking like we will have raised in excess of NINE THOUSAND POUNDS for Bury Hospice! An amazing performance all round.

Massive thanks to each and every one of you, our members, who have given so generously to support such a wonderful cause. We’d also like to thank all our sponsors on the day and the players for giving their time to take part in the match.

And a huge thanks to Ian Senior and Wesley Young, along with their team of volunteer supporters, for organising the event. It really has been a huge labour of love and is greatly appreciated. There’s always a danger of missing someone, so if you were involved in any way, no matter how small, we thank and salute you!

Our Chairman, Andy Skinner, would like to pass on his huge thanks to everyone who organised, attended, participated, donated, supported and enjoyed the event.

Farewell to Jacques for 2026

Thanks to our pro Jacques for another fantastic year where he finished top of the Premier Division batting leaderboard .

Overall Jacques scored 1341 runs at 53.6 and took 41 wickets

In the 4 seasons and 108 matches with Greenmount Jacques has now amassed 5605 runs at 66 with forty 50s and fourteen 100s . He’s also taken 209 wickets and 57 catches .

Good luck for the domestic season ahead Jacques , thanks for this season and we’re already looking forward to welcoming you back to the Log Cabin next season.
