Congratulations Luke on his successful 3rd kyu grade! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
'Once having experienced 'Aiki', the body acquires a feeling of what is a good way to be thrown. Then one starts to feel very unpleasant if thrown by different methods. It feels very unnatural, and the body rejects this.
In the beginning, we don't see the difference, but when our own level gets higher, the difference becomes clearer, and finally the body rejects all the other techniques with a feeling as if to say, "Such a way to throw will not work on me".'
- Tatsuo Kimura (from his book 'Transparent Power', on why throwing senior training partners can feel difficult) 🥋✊
