❤️⚽ WE’VE CLEARED £5,000! – WHAT A DAY! ⚽❤️
I’m absolutely delighted to say that the Walking Football Marathon has now cleared the £5,000 mark! 🙌

What started as an idea to bring people together through Walking Football has turned into something that I’m incredibly proud of.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event on Saturday.

From 9am through to 7pm, it was fantastic to see people of all ages coming together – children, parents, families, older adults, friends and walking footballers – all getting involved.

Apart from a little lull between around 13:45 and 3pm, there was football being played virtually all day! ⚽
But the day was about much more than football.

Two very important causes, and I’m so pleased that together we’ve now raised over £5,000 to support them

🎟️ AND THE RAFFLE...
We had some amazing prizes, and the lucky winners will be contacted this week to arrange collection.
A particular thank you to every business and individual who donated prizes – your generosity helped make the raffle such a fantastic part of the day.

👏 SPECIAL THANK YOU
A huge thank you also to Peter Taylor - Mayor of Watford , for coming along to support the event.
I’m genuinely very grateful that you took the time to come along and be part of the day.

And finally, thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, donated, bought raffle tickets, had a go at Beat the Goalie, shared the event or simply came along to support it.

The mix of people and ages throughout the day was exactly what I hoped Walking Football could bring together.

Over £5,000 raised. Thousands of passes. Plenty of goals. Lots of laughs. And two very important causes supported. ❤️⚽

Thank you all.
Dave

Hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself and share a community fundraising event that I'm currently organising in support of Children with Cancer UK and Bushey and Oxhey FC, with whom I have had the privilege of managing a team for 9 years now and seen the huge benefits that the Club has on the community.

I'm bringing people together for a Walking Football Marathon with the aim of raising £5,000 to help support the incredible work both causes do for children.

Like many people, I know families whose lives have been affected by childhood cancer, and I know how important the support, care and research provided by Children with Cancer UK is during such difficult times.

My hope is that this event not only raises vital funds but also raises awareness, brings communities together, and inspires more people to get involved in making a difference.

Every business sponsorship, donation, share and word of encouragement will help move closer to my goal.

Thank you for everything you do, and I hope to make you proud through this event.

See flyer with a QR Code link to the Go Fund Me page also.

I'd really love for you to follow the journey and support if you can.
