We had a fun, slightly soggy day at the Children's Ward fun day. It was lovely to see so many people coming along to raise money for such a good cause 😊

🌟 The winners from our competitions 🌟

Guess the weight of the rucksack, packed with everything you need for a summer day in the mountains. Our winner was James who was only 110grams out! 👏 James won a £50 off voucher from us to use on any of our courses.

How quickly could you take 5 pieces of climbing gear off your harness and onto a rope? This was competitive! And the winner goes to Mark 🙌 Mark has won a half day climbing tasters for 4 people

Well done both of you. We will be in touch with both of you to redeem your prizes

As always, if the dates don't suit, or you are on holiday a particular week, then just let us know and we will see what we can do 😊

Please note - there's currently none of our additional needs activities live yet. We made it to round 2 of some potential funding. So we are just waiting to see if we have been successful or not before we advertise these dates 🤞🤞🤞

After a pretty hot week what better way to finish half term with a cooling off in the gorge.

Today we where joined by the Scott family for the second time this week. They have spent the week on holiday exploring Eryri. After having so much fun with Jess earlier in the week rock.climbing they decided to join Sam for a quick ascent of the gorge on their way home. They are all very capable and so they made light work of all the challenges, swimming in every possible pool was a particular highlight.

What a beautiful morning we had today at Llyn Padarn

Today I was joined by Richie who had been on a paddle board once. He wanted to gain some more confidence and have a go at standing. So that is what we did 😁

Before trying to stand, we worked backwards by jumping into the water and practicing getting back on the board, solo and supported. This meant Richie knew what to do, should he fall in trying to stand 💦

We went on a journey and found a calm spot to have a go at standing and Richie did it!

Thanks for a lovely morning Richie

It was another hot day here in Eryri and we had two families join us on their holidays for a taste of rock climbing.

Two lovely families, two different sessions.

First up was the Peach family who had never climbed before. In the afternoon we had the Scott family who were indoor climbers, ready to try climbing on some rock. Both families climbed alot and pushed themselves.

It was fabulous to meet you all. Have a good rest of your holidays up here

Today was a hot one, looks like summer has finally arrived just in time for a jam packed half term.
Today we where joined by Gemma and Evan who had done a bit of indoor climbing but keen to start learning the skills to become independent climbers. We covered everything from fitting harnesses, tying in, belaying, abseiling all while climbing lots of routes. Both picked up the skills very quickly and it was nice to watch them start becoming independent.
