Cambourne Blue's U10s hosted Elsenham, looking to keep up on a positive start after last weekend's game.
Elsenham started the brighter and tested Zac straight from the off, but he made some excellent saves.
Cambourne woke up in the second half and was playing some great football. Our front three of Eddie, Eneko and Jacob linked up brilliantly to finally break the deadlock through a neat finish from Jacob.
Cambourne pushed for another, but it was unfortunately Elsenham who snatched a goal right at the death to break Cambourne's hearts.

Peterborough 0-11 Cambourne U14 JPL
Cambourne produced an outstanding team performance away to Peterborough, combining some excellent attacking football with a disciplined display at the back to secure an impressive 11-0 victory.
Cambourne started brightly and opened the scoring after nine minutes through Freddy Davison, assisted by Thadeous Knight. Freddy added two more goals in quick succession, with Jenson Bailey providing the assist for his third.
The team continued to control the game, moving the ball well and creating chances. Freddy scored twice more before the break, assisted by Lewis Gibbs and Jenson Bailey, to complete a remarkable first-half display and give Cambourne a 5-0 lead at half-time.
Cambourne maintained the same intensity after the restart. Kaylan Thorley made it six shortly after half-time before Freddy added another two goals.
Josh Allen then got his name on the scoresheet with Cambourne’s ninth goal. Freddy scored his eighth of the game moments later, assisted by Freddie Norman, before Josh Allen completed the scoring in the 78th minute.
Despite the emphatic scoreline, the most pleasing aspect was the overall team performance. Cambourne remained focused, worked hard for one another and continued playing the right way throughout the match.
Stanley also played his part in goal, making some excellent saves when called upon to preserve Cambourne’s clean sheet.
The result makes it three wins from three for Cambourne, who finish top of their JPL Cup group and progress to the knockout stages.
A superb performance from the entire squad and an excellent result to build on.

Cambourne Town 6–4 Saffron Walden
What a game. 🔥
Full credit to Saffron Walden, who pushed us all the way and played their part in a brilliant, high-intensity contest.
But the biggest takeaway from today was the tenacious attitude of our girls.
After a very strong start by Saffron Walden, they could have folded. Instead, they kept believing, kept working for each other and kept pushing until the game was turned on its head. 💪🏻

💙U17 Gold Girls💙
A frustrating result for U17 Gold Girls for their league opener vs Chesterton Eagles. Finished in a 1-1 draw. 😔
The girls played fantastically well, but unfortunately the footballing gods just weren’t on our side today. U17 Gold were clearly the better team, dominated possession throughout and deserved the win. They never gave up, but the ball just wouldn’t go in for us and, tbh, it could’ve easily finished 4-1! The wind was a nightmare too, which didn’t help.
However, a draw is not the end of the world…. one of those games which is great for the team’s development and character. And the girls will surely bounce back positively from this experience and get a win next game! ⚽️
💙U17 Oranges💙
U17 Oranges were away to Alconbury today.
With illness hitting the squad, we were thin on the ground. Spirits were high and they went out to prove a point. Unfortunately, they went a goal down in 3 mins, which woke them up, and a goal from Owen S and two from Harry L picked up their pace.
Alconbury pulled it level after half-time and with us getting injuries. Owen S got the 4th goal and they didn't let up, holding Alconbury for the last 20 mins to get the win.
MOM went to Sam L for putting his all into the game.
