Today my dad would have been 100....
He was very loved and did not get to be half that age, dying suddenly at barely 42.
Yet he lives on forever etched in the memory of my brother and I; our mum died still loving him and I believe somewhere up there a great party going on
So Happy Birthday Dad - wherever you are!

We said goodbye to auntie Bridie this week and we will miss her wisdom, steadiness, brilliant mind and sense of humour.
A life lived to the full.
You went quietly and on your own terms.
Loved now and forever

November was a month of personal goodbye's - a matriarch who left quietly following the sudden loss of her son.
Twice in quick succession I wrote the personal stories of people I knew my whole live, who had stood by me in my grief and got me through it.
This reminded me how much we all need closure and I am particularly grateful to for the guidance & toolset to do the job of a narrator of life well.

Being a Celebrant means we get to help you craft the celebration of Love or Life you visualise. Every detail counts.
YOU are why I do this and am able to hug my business! Almost every day it hugs me back.
Thank you for choosing me!

Bend low again, night of summer stars. So near you are, sky of summer stars, So near, a long-arm man can pick off stars, Pick off what he wants in the sky bowl, So near you are, summer stars, So near, strumming, strumming, So lazy and hum-strumming.

The same laughter erupts
when a joke finds its giggle.
Same whoop, same cheer
different smiles.
The same rhythm rocks us
when a dance makes us wiggle.
Same hands, same feet
different styles.
The same warmth in our bellies
when we choose to be kind.
Same hug, same high-five
different bodies.
The same happiness finds us
when friendship binds
Same goal, same win
different players.
The same sadness within us
when darkness creeps.
Same eyes, same sobs
different tears.
The same joy on our faces
when we’re no longer apart.
Same blood, same beat
same hearts.
