💋 BEGINNERS BURLESQUE IS BACK! 💋

Have you ever wanted to try burlesque but weren’t sure where to start? If so, perhaps this is the sign you’ve been waiting for…

Now entering its 8th glorious year, Phoxy Qurvy’s School of Burly is opening its stage doors once again to a brand-new Beginners Burlesque Course this September.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence, make new friends, express your creativity, or challenge yourself with something completely new, this tried and tested 10-week course will guide and support you from your first tentative shimmy all the way to a live bump and grinding charity troupe showcase performance!

✨ No previous experience required
✨ All genders, sexualities, cultures, shapes, sizes, backgrounds and ages (18+) welcome
✨ Learn the art of burlesque and tease (please note that burlesque traditionally includes the removal of clothing during classes, rehearsals and the final performance)
✨ Taught by award-winning professional burlesque performer, Phoxy Qurvy
✨ Perform as part of The Qurve Ball 12

The Search for Cabaret’s Next Great Host

MicroHone is a brand-new intensive day course, created by Phoxy Qurvy, to help identify, encourage and develop the next generation of cabaret, burlesque and variety hosts.

Hosting is more than holding a microphone. It’s confidence, timing, adaptability and the ability to make every audience member feel part of the experience.

Despite the huge number of performance courses around, opportunities dedicated to developing hosts are rare, yet great hosts are vital to the smooth running of any good show.

Enter MicroHone… Not a competition. Not a workshop. An opportunity. Applications are now open.

✨ No previous hosting experience is required.

✨ Only 12 applicants will be selected

Over a day of practical training, you’ll explore:

🎭 Stage presence & confidence
🎤 Microphone technique
✨ Creating your hosting persona
🎪 Intros, transitions & crowd engagement
💥 Improv & crisis handling
🌟 Professional hosting skills for live events
🎭 And more…

But this isn’t just a course…

⭐ Three participants will be selected to guest host The Qurve Ball 12 on Saturday 28th November 2026, showcasing their talents and gaining experience in front of a live audience.

👑 One participant will receive a future paid hosting booking.

Every participant will receive:
